london agency fees?
« on: 05 April 2011, 06:14:53 pm »
Hello ladies,

I just had a meeting with a chap from an agency in London and it all went well until he told me that the first few times a new escort sees a client the company basically require their commission upfront i.e. before you actually see the client because they have had problems with new girls doing a job and then pocketing all the cash before disappearing into the sunset.

In your opinion is this a scam?

If it is a scam it seems like a massive hassle to get money this way as I spent at least 90 minutes chatting with the representative of the company, all for a few quid?!

Edited to remove agency name.

Please give me your opinions!!

Scam (probably) or stupid (possibly), it doesn't really matter much: walk away.

They're promising three hour bookings paying several hundred quid, aren't they? Commission of a hundred quid or so? I'd talk to you for 90 minutes for that :)
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

As XW5 says walk away now, they are basically asking you to pay money to them upfront and this is something you should never be requested to do. Also I've had a look at their website and there is something about it which doesnt look quite right to me.
The fact the guy spoke to you for 90 minutes means nothing, I once had an industry owner meet me, take my photos, out me on his website and then tell everyone who rang to enquire that I was fully booked. This industry is populated with some very dodgy characters and if your spidey senses are tingling theres a reason for it!

Yes you're probably right, it doesn't seem like a legitimate thing to do.

Ah well, thanks for your replies ladies.
