How common is it to get calls from last-minute clients?
« on: 30 June 2014, 03:44:01 pm »
I put my number on AW and encourage that over using email. I will take bookings at short notice. If I'm ready, I'll see someone within 15 or 20 minutes. If I'm not ready, I may need thirty minutes to an hour, depending. But, short-notice bookings aren't a problem to me.

But I've noticed that I get a LOT of calls from guys who want to see someone RIGHT NOW. They won't wait 30 minutes. Some of them won't see me unless I'm within a five-minute walk of where they are. They are literally looking for someone they can see and be out within an hour.

I was talking to some other WG's I know and we were thinking that perhaps Manchester, due to having so many parlours, just has a culture of last-minute bookings. I was wondering if this is common everywhere.

I think it's the same everywhere, I don't think Manchester has the monopoly on impatient guys.  Now ask them to change a light bulb and it's another story ......manana !

Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I got them in Birmingham and I get them in London. They're just horny and want to get off now. I find that sometimes they are just pressuring you and someone will say "I can only see you in 15 minutes" and I say well sorry I need and hour and then suddenly an hour is OK.

I refuse to see walk-in appointments, I am not the fucking NHS and state I do not see 'babe, I can be with you in 5 minute' callers/texters does not stop them from asking though, I get asked at least twice a week but my view is that the men who do this will have certain attitudes about sex workers that I do not want to bring into my world...

I've had guys call hoping I can see in them 10 minutes and when I say I need 30 minutes notice they say nevermind. Like they can't wait another 20 minutes! Get them too frequently :/

And then they think we're the ones being out of order and not offering a proper service  ::)

Some clients grab the opportunity there and then short notice is like the norm well it is for me in Belfast. Any service even when out don't like to be waiting to long. So can understand feeling horny being asked to wait might be frustrating so they phone some other escorts who satisfy them quick. we can't expect all clients to be considerate as society is far from that and never will be.

I love the ones who call back twenty or thirty minutes later because they have failed to find someone else RIGHT NOW. It's sometimes sort of fun to say "Well, since we spoke, I got another call and have a booking now. I'm sorry." :D

I would say its fairly common. It makes me laugh when you say you can't do it and they are almost shocked when you are not sat there in your undies just waiting for their call. They will say um and ahh and say they will call back in a few mins (you know they are spending the next 10 mins frantically ringing every other hooker in their phonebook and being told the same thing that they can't see them in the 10 min time frame they want) then they ring you back and try and book in for the time you gave them (20 mins) and Oh Dear...sorry someone who wasn't a prat booked and gave me more than a milisecond to get ready....better luck next time!
And yes I have had a few men um and ahh over the fact I am not bang smack next to the train station and it will take them a 10 min walk to get to me...some seriously expect it to be like a parlour where they can walk in or that its like a delivery service and you can carry your incall place in your back like a shell to wherever they may be...some don't like the tiniest bit of effort i.e a short walk.
Yes the ones you say 'Sorry can't do' to 'But I can be there in 5 mins'..thats great but I won't be there....or I'll be there but I don't think the client who booked me a couple of hours before will appreciate you popping by...

I don't mind short-notice clients, either. I think it's common for men to have a meeting cancelled and have an immediate window of time open. So, I'm not put off that they ask. But I think it's funny when they seem to expect me to be within five minutes of them, ready for them.

If someone were literally five minutes away and I were ready, I'd still probably want ten minutes to make good and sure everything were in order. But most of them call from the main train station. Those same ones don't know the city centre that well and want to walk to me. I feel like a heel suggesting they take a taxi because I know I'm a bit profligate in that regard and take taxis all the time. But walking to mine will take about fifteen or twenty minutes and the directions would be hard to give over the phone. Either they need to have good access to Google maps or they need a taxi to get to me easily.

However, I've certainly had some lovely gents walk to me, updating me on the fact that they're lost, and being generally cheerful about it.

Its very common. Guys get out of meetings early, they manage to make good time on the motorway, find they CAN have a full hour for lunch after all, have meetings canceled and they are already away from the office, finish a job early etc and find they suddenly  unexpectedly have time for a shag. I dont mind them so long as Im free. I do tell them I need ten minutes though to have a quick shower and refresh my make up.

I find that last minute bookers tend to be of the professional variety for the above reasons.

I have had days when everyone has been a "are you free now" guy. Im happy with that tbh. Moneys money regardless of how fast its speeding towards your door

The only time I say no is if I dont have time before my next client or I have just had a hot and sweaty one so need to wash and dry  my hair, I ask if they are free in 20 minutes then and crack on washing my hair fast. If I tell them my hair may be a bit damp they never ever ever mind.

I've had a guy ring me and I've said I need at least 30 minutes notice. So he said ok maybe another time. Then he rang 30 minutes later and asked if I was ready. I was like, not when you didn't actually book me!
