Client asking to marry me in booking request
« on: 26 November 2014, 11:02:41 am »
Hi, I've been off here for a wee while due to some bad stuff happening in an agency booking; usual story, forceful client left me fairly damaged, agency didn't want to know, then charged me for different client's cancellation on very next booking that was made after I'd finished for the day although I'd turned up anyway.  I quit.  Just background so you know why I'm being reluctant to take any old bookings.
I've been advertising my independent services now for about 4 weeks.  Getting a lot of timewasters and no solid bookings, starting to wonder about finding a new agency, but I want control over who I see and how I'm marketed because I hated people being pissy at me for significantly not being as described in the age and boob department.  Really short on money.  So that's why I even read a message that came through on AW with the subject header "will you marry me?"
The rest of the message was about organizing a spanking session, postcode but no date or time.  Then it was there at the end of the message again, "will you marry me?"  Here's the original, edited for his privacy:

"Subject:   will you marry me?"
"Hi how will you spank me? I'm [AGE] single British Asian 5ft 5 short blk hair fair skin slim to medium built I'm always smartly dressed I live in XXXXXXXX postcode XXXXXX will you marry me ? X"

I've never met this guy or had any previous contact, but all his 8 feedbacks are good, so I don't know if I'm being too picky in refusing.  Also, he lives FAR outside the area I usually work, and getting there and back will be a complete pain and cost about ?30 in petrol.  I've gotta wonder why he can't find a local lady to do this, there's enough of us around.  But it's a booking and I'm so out of money I'm about to run out of credit card credit.  Any advice about whether these sorts of bookings ever materialize?  I really don't want to drive 100 miles for a cancellation!
Thankyou, PP xx

Ask for a deposit to cover the travel at least. If he's serious he will pay it. Although the fact that he's asking you how you will spank him sounds to me like he's looking for wank fodder and not a serious booking.

Ooh that's a good idea - I guess asking for a deposit wouldn't harm.  Everyone's got a paypal account these days right?  Yeah I agree I was wondering if he just wanted something to whack off to.  It's all I seem to get from my website as well.  Lol I suppose I should be grateful to be getting any interest at all.

I wouldn't use Paypal. They are against using it for this kind of thing and he could easily do a chargeback. I'm not sure what options there are but if you do a search for deposits on here you should be able to see some ideas.

Hi PhoebePhobos,

Can't really be sure since he's not been more specific but it looks on the surface as if he's requesting Mutah. You can read more about it here, http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikah_mut%E2%80%98ah

I'd suggest asking him to elaborate on his question to find out a bit more about the motives for asking then proceeding or not depending on how you feel about it.  Of course, it could also be an indication of something else that you probably wouldn't want to get involved with but I guess the only way to know is to ask him.

Well he should obviously be on dating sites. I had a client once wanting to book me and in between those really coherent lines he wrote he was looking for love.....needless to say I backed out of it. Why would they tell a girl they never met that they are looking to marry, date, find love amongst escorts?

I am sorry but it reeks of desperation since most women would prob give him no time of their day ( for reasons he knows himself ). Its lovely when you unexpectedly click with a client and it turns out to be more ( which rarely happens as I learnt myself ) but the ones who are open about looking for wives, gfs etc. on escort sites just scare the heck out of me!

Wow thanks everyone some complete eye openers there!

I had no idea about the temporary marriage thing.  That's... a new one on me.

I wouldn't use Paypal. They are against using it for this kind of thing and he could easily do a chargeback. I'm not sure what options there are but if you do a search for deposits on here you should be able to see some ideas.

I had no idea paypal could claw back money off you (except via ebay).  I've used it for publishing fees in the past and they've always paid me, but I do resent having to pay to transfer it to my bank account.

I am sorry but it reeks of desperation since most women would prob give him no time of their day.

I completely agree, this was my gut instinct about the whole thing.

I didn't want to turn down good money though and I know men can be useless at articulating themselves in matters of lust sometimes.  I think I will probably have to politely decline this booking as I'm not giving him personal details to send money if paypal's unreliable (although I'll look into alternatives), and I'm sure as hell not marrying him it's against my beliefs no matter how temporary or what not, and I don't really want to drive so far.  Sigh.
Thanks for the perspective and information.

I had a guy wanted me to do the temporary marriage thing at the start of a booking and I refused - sent him packing. It offends my own beliefs about marriage. (From what I understand, the majority of Muslims would NOT condone this silly rite done in private with a  prostitute!)

It never even occurred to him that I might already be married! I thought about saying so, but decided he didn't deserve to know any of my personal information.

Yes I've been asked during a booking before a few times but always refused. One just spent time with me the other couldn't control his urges anyway. Haha.
