Title: Legal age to purchase?

Is there a legal age in Scotland to pay for sex? Or is it just over 16?

Not that I'd see anyone that young, I just want to get my facts straight before I email someone back.

In fact, why is a 17 year old on AW which is 18+?  ::)

The legal age of consent is 16, and there aren't any specific laws concerning the age of somebody paying for sex (unlike the clear laws surrounding someone being paid). As far as I know, Scottish law doesn't differ in this instance but it probably worth looking it up.
