Is honesty always the best policy?

Hi all.

Just wanting to pick your brains for a moment if you don't mind.

Basically i am working for an agency at moment but planning to also join another one (got meeting next week) I intend to use different names and keep availability hours separate so they don't overlap etc.

My question is,do i tell the new agency i am already working for another and vice versa or not? The agency i am with at the moment is quite 'high class' and the owner prides themself on it being a cut above,i was thrilled when they agreed to represent me but to be truthful I'm not getting much work and i think it may be that the other girls are just so stunning that i cant compete! I'm attractive but most of them are proper Barbie doll types :( Owner says its cos of 6 weeks holidays but i think they might just be being nice and not wanting to hurt my feelings.
The other agency I'm planning to join is quite new and not so posh (but by no means downmarket in any way) They seem quite eager to have me as theres a lack of girls on their books in the area i live in,plus their girls are more normal and not as stunning as the ones at my current agency so i might stand more of a chance.
I don't want to rub either agency up the wrong way but Ive come into this business to make money and i feel disappointed I'm not getting the work i had hoped for
Suppose the other answer would be to go independent but i don't feel Ive got enough experience yet.
I'm finding it all a real uphill battle at the minute.

I can't answer your agency question, but it's true that business slows down during the school holidays. Add in the recession and you might just not be getting much work from the posh agency because there isn't much to go around.
