Ladies with other jobs
« on: 07 June 2016, 09:01:55 am »
I'm thinking of taking up a part time job in health care and due to the nature of shift patterns, I'm just a bit concerned of the impact those hours will have on my escorting.
I only escort part time as I don't need to generate a vast amount of income. But to earn the bare minimum in my health care job, I'd have to work around 16 hours a week.
In a nutshell, I'm worried that I'd work loads more hours a week just to generate the same amount of income that an hour of escorting would bring in and end up in a situation where I'd miss some of my clients as I'd be working in my other job.
I love escorting to bits and love the freedom it brings. I'm definitely made to be self employed, but would like a guaranteed income as well. How do the rest of you cope with another job when escorting is your priority?

I work full time civvy and the worst thing is, although my availability is weekends/any eves, I get really tired and so miss out on a lot of escorting work. But I am too nervous to make the leap. I would think a mix of part time civvy and part time escort would be the ideal x

I understand. I suppose the reason why I only escort part time is because I don't have many outgoings. No rent or mortgage to pay. And I'm currently buying a flat to let out so that will generate some extra income. It won't be enough to solely live on, but it will pay my bills and my escorting money will enable me to eat lol and do other things. So I suppose I am worrying over nothing  ;D

Yes you'll miss clients, but you'll always miss clients for one reason or another.

I took a full time job for a while but ended up in horrendous debt along with having to make an official complaint about bullying and someone being sacked. I now love my massaging more than ever. At this moment can't afford to take a civvy job but as soon as I can I will even if just for couple days a week.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

The post you're considering, is it set hours or is it a zero hour contract?
If it's set hours then I'd say give it a go and see what happens.
If it's zero hours I'd give it a swerve and hold out for something with routine.
I'm working a FT civvy job and I'm finding it challenging not being able to answer calls and emails during the day.

I know what you mean. The men I meet say they like the fact that I work civvy as they don't want to see an escort who escorts as her main job. I know that it is none of their business how much escorts 'escort' but that's what they have all said. Therefore, maybe it's worth making up a civvy job if you haven't got one to encourage them more haha! Talk about these men wanting the bloody world.

That's the thing, I don't know. I think it's done on a rota but apart from a vague job description,  I have no idea what it involves. And no idea about the wage either. This is why I'm so hesitant.

I'm confused, how have you heard about this job? If it's been advertised then it should say the number of contracted hours, at least?

It's community care. They have office in the town where I live. The woman I spoke to asked how many hours i wanted to work. I said 16. She seemed reluctant to tell me much until I had filled out the application form and read the job description.

I have my own business alongside escorting which takes up a lot of time and I am very part time when it comes to escorting.
It used to be tiring and I used to dread some bookings, but I took a break and regained my love for escorting and now I enjoy being really busy in both jobs. Keeps me on my toes and there's nothing better than making more money!

I would say apply for the job first and if you get an interview be sure to ask a couple questions (always helps) and see if they can give you an idea and decide from there?

I work a 30 hour week in a normal job . i love it as it keeps me sane!!

i only see 2 clients a day so its perfect for me . it also makes me relise how easy the escorting money is sometimes!

If it's entry level community care then sadly it's probably minimum wage and could well be zero hours. I'd go for the interview but ask some pointed questions and remember you're not desperate for work.
