« on: 11 August 2010, 05:27:56 pm »
I am not verified.  I looked into it and they want a passport copy has anyone done this?

This has been discussed a lot recently. You can start your search here. :)

Thank you.  I did search verification but didn't get anything.  Glad you are here to help.
Can I just ask, does anyone else but AW see the face photo?

I believe you can choose whether or not to make your verification photo public.

I'm not sure how trustworthy AW are, ultimately, and I don't think they have the best track record. Searching through the many AW threads on here is probably the quickest way to get your hands on all the combined knowledge of SAAFE's denizens, but I'm sure others who know more about that site will also be along soon to answer any new questions. :)

I am fullt verified on there. Yes you send a face pic with date on it, plus a copy of photo ID. You can chose whether or not to show your face pic, if you don't then you don't come up in a 'verification' photo search - thus negating a lot of the potential benefits(ie guys can only single you out if they bother to look into everyone's profile).

I haven't seen an increase in bookings via the site as a direct result of being fully verified, and not a single guy has mentioned they chose me because of this.

Trust AW
or any other faceless internet site which promotes whoring?
No frakin' way!

They may be either be the virgin mary or jack the ripper
but probably something in between>>>>>though closer to jack the ripper.

Then pass those details & maybe they pass them to the cops en mass, so the government can build a database of escorts, change the law then incarcerate us,
or sell the stuff to a Latvian crime syndicate for ID theft
or just come round and do a circular to all our neighbours, outing us unless we pay a recurring ?1000 per month
or 15 years from now, you change career, marry & go into politics, stand as an MP and end up on the front cover of news of the world
or.....well you get the idea.

Do not pass any stuff to them or anyone else, ever.
It can come back to bite you in 5 or 10 years.

I'm verified on AW.

I was hesitant at first and still have my hang-ups about it, but I've seen some people's accounts suspended simply because a vicious competitor emailed AW to say that the photos of a particular person are not them or they are, so they lose their account and credits.

If you're verified, this is much less likely to happen as they can compare your ID photo to that of those in your galleries.

Not saying this is fool proof, but every little helps.

Im verified, there are alot of fake accounts on there so if its something else to convince guys im genuine why not. I had to get verified when i joined 2 years ago and this year they asked everyone to do it again, fair enough.  :)

I think we need to draw attention to the different types of verification here; anybody who is concerned about 'fake profile/photo' accusations can upload a 'verification' face photo (where you hold a card with Adultwork and the date written on it), which should be plenty for anyone worried about someone putting up a malicious or false profile. This photo can be hidden or not (assuming anyone looking hasn't had access to the Greasemonkey script which was doing the rounds a few months ago that 'un-hid' them).

The type of verification which causes concern is where people are expected to provide identifying personal information - passport scans, driving licences and so on; bearing in kind that a significant number of ladies will have already furnished this anonymous company with their home address and bank details, that would be a step (or about a hundred) too far for me. There is another thread about it here.

As much as I get asked: 'Is it really YOU in those photos, seriously?' and 'ARE YOU SURE it is actually you?' I am still not keen on that verification thingy, it seems too invasive of privacy for my liking.

I have enough feedback from different clients to suggest that I am genuine, and if anyone suggests that 'you can't trust AW feedback', I simply point out that they can see who has rated me, and who else rated them, and who rated THEM, and so on and so on, and for me to have invented the feedback would mean that I would have to have invented potentially hundreds or even thousands of accounts (of both clients and escorts) in order to do that.
