Lack of reviews
« on: 30 August 2010, 05:11:58 pm »
Ok I know I have only been under my current name for a couple of months and I have a couple of reports but after spending a bit of time in punternet I am getting more and more aware of how much of a seller your reviews are and I am starting to panic about being in a catch 22 situation of not getting business because of lact of reviews but not getting reviews because of not getting business!

Is this panic unfounded?

Can you not transfer your old reviews from your previous name to your new one?

I know what you mean about more reviews=more clients. Is it OK to ask a client when they leave to write you feedback? Do you have any recommendations on how I can mention it discreetly (r should I just tell them to whilst I'm standing over them?!!)

It isn't an unfounded panic, in the age of the internet it is quite important. I definitely get booking on the basis of my reviews. It may be the areas you are working, it could be that you need to move around, take more bookings online, etc. I rarely mention leaving a review though.

Moving around is something for the future. At the moment I am doing better but still struggling because I am only working outcalls atm and the lack of reviews. I should get some money coming in soon which I am going to use in getting pro photos and a service apartment in cardiff for a couple of days but until then I am a bit stuck.

Its fustrating because I know I can do so much better and I want to make a proper go at this, this time and I feel like a wannabe!

Rant over I promise!

I just find that not many men leave reviews...I simply quite worrying about it. I have 3 reviews up to date, and personally I have not found them to be a hinderence. I can go to the smaller towns and do quite well

I have found asking people to book on aw can make them vanish into thin air, even the ones that have approached me on there directly!!!  I think some of them are paranoid about the feedback you might leave back.  I have taken to promising not to leave feedback unless instructed and funnily enough the party that I'm hosting tomorrow has 3 pre-bookings via aw now, which has never been heard of before.

Maybe (and just maybe) a little note on your profile saying that you will only write feedback when requested (assuming the meeting went ahead as planned) it might make a difference?

Another way to bring up FRs with reference to punternet, you can mention that you have joined and ask them if they know it.  If they say yes, ask them if they use the field reports much.  You don't really want to go beyond that, but the seed of thought is then implanted.

Good luck.

Do you know Ive always puzzled over why getting AW clients to leave feedback is like pulling teeth. I had never thought before that its because they are scared of the feedback they might get left by the lady they've visited. Now Ive thought about it though it makes perfect sense. Its one thing being able to give an opinion on the escort you've visited but not so nice to think that said escort can give her opinion of you in return!

And not just that.  If they have (0) in their feedback field and they get discovered, they can say they have just been looking.  Even if it is (3) and it all leads to cam chat, they can say they were just looking.  The moment it says (3) and leads to an escort meet they are well and truely f****d and the sh** has hit the fan.

The parties are a nighmare for this reason as it's not just 1 on 1 play, but implies ga** ba**s and alsorts lol (not that we have had one) but you know how a guys imagination goes.

They want their cake, but they don't want to leave the evidence!

It's colossally unfair, that's what it is! We have to display as much of our personal stuff as possible in order to get bookings, otherwise clients feel "unsafe" seeing us, while they just get to be completely anonymous usernames and phone voices called "Mark/Tim/Bob" and get essentially straight into a private room with us without us knowing anything about them.

Rargh. Sometimes I wish for that mad US system where the top escorts require references and work numbers from their clients! (But not really, because the more vulnerable or new or naive escorts there end up on Craigslist etc, which is also colossally unfair safety-wise, and the reference system comes hand-in-hand with having to be deeply involved with the online punter community, protecting your reputation at all costs, etc etc.)

In response to the OP, I'd say the panic is definitely unfounded! Reviews come with time. Worrying about them might lead to trying to persuade clients to write them, which might lead to random meanness if they feel randomly cross about it. Focus on being a brilliant escort and focus on your nicest clients. Once they've relaxed and realised that nobody means them any harm (for god's sake), it's easy to ask about giving positive feedback without offending anyone.

If it came to a toss-up between getting on my knees to beg for reviews and just making a little less money, I'd pick the latter. I'm of course delighted by good reviews when they come in! But mostly I need to maintain my sanity at all costs so no fretting over punter sites or trying to please everyone - and make sure you don't go down that mad path, either! :)

It does take time to build up feedback and ratings.  I think I saw about 3 people before I was left my first feedback.

Getting people to leave feedback for cam and phone chat bookings is like trying to draw blood out of a stone!!  Even with a free pin to my private gallery.

For my escort bookings on AW, I let guys know that if they don't want to leave feedback it's their choice but I wont be entertaining any second bookings.

It gets on my nerves, they look at your feedback before booking you to reassure themselves, but don't want to spend what amounts to 30 seconds to write a few words, well they can really go to hell.  If I'm not worth a minute of their time, they aren't worth an extra second of mine.  I've told a few people I've seen on escort bookings not to contact me again for that reason, I feel very strongly about it.  Especially when I know I pull all stops out for them, just seems rather ungrateful to me  >:(

Also, there's no need for them to get caught, they can put next to no information down, browse in a private window and delete all cookies and internet activity when closing their browsers, so if they're afraid of getting caught, and even if they do, well, it's from their own stupidity.

Anyway, rant over.. breathe.. exhale...  :D

Regarding PN reviews, I was advertising on there for ages, I think it was a whole year, before I got my first field report. During that time I was confused and a bit worried as to why I wasn't getting any. And I am not one to suggest or ask people to leave feedback or write reviews, so I just had to be patient - REALLY patient! Then, when they first one came, lots followed after that, and now I have a comfortable amount.

So I think, perhaps just be patient and it will come!
