i hv this scenario often when client repeatedly asks me for address by text, among other things, and when he says im ready to go, what's your address? i text back with the street/area name but i tell to call me for full address and then never hear again from him?? to me, this is obviously a timewaster or some dodgy dude who isn't serious. I think if a client is serious enough he won't have a problem to call. Also as i work from home and very picky about clients i need to hear his voice first to see what vibe i get as i go by guts. Hearing voice is a must for me to confirm a booking. Tired of endless texting, why can't they just call if they really wanna come  even in my profile i've clearly stated call only and only text if i didn't answer. Yet stupid me i still answer all texts.

I sometimes give them a post code of a shop or something like 10 minutes away as a rough idea but always insist on a call for full address. As you mentioned, genuine guys do it the rest do not. I have a lady in my area who’s tried booking me, she even made an aw account but it linked to her working one so I knew straight away lol! Sad woman.

When I’m in an apartment or at my flat, I never give out the full address. I tell them to call me when they are by said landmark and then I direct them from there. “Take the first left and then first right, you’ll see a a green door,”

Obviously if I’m in a hotel then I have to tell them eventually but I don’t give out my room number. I usually say I’m opposite whatever number or something like that

As for texts, I very rarely reply. Only if it’s a very very well written text.
I no longer display my number anyway as I only take advanced bookings now and have found that so much better in terms of time wasters.

If you don’t like texting and want a call just simply reply “to make a booking please call me”
If they don’t call you, they’re a time waster anyway
