I have recently started escorting and am on AW. I am finding things a bit slow and although I have another day job I would like a more regular client base. Some weeks I see 3 clients, other weeks 1. In saying that I have had repeat bookings, it's just not consistent. I know my prices are correct so that's not an issue and the gents I've seen have been really happy with the service I provide.

I know about the other sites and am considering them when I return from holiday. I am in two minds about getting a website as I am not convinced it will generate that many more bookings.

I saw [a niche agency] site on the recommended advertising list on here but it is an agency and I wanted advice from anyone who knows about it, has worked or is considering work there. For example: do they take a percentage of your hourly rate as I cannot find any real info on this on their site?

I really wanted to avoid agency work; however there is something attractive about the site and I am in the mature category. Also, there is the fact that someone else would handle all the admin and calls and screen the timewasters.

Any advice gratefully received, as always.

I dont know the ins and outs of [removed] but I do know the website wasnt very user friendly, have you tried [removed - please don't post agency links here] they seem upmarket and mostly london based but they do have Escorts outside the capital too. I dont know how "mature" you are but she has ladies from 35-75.

What are your views on having a website? Someone has offered to put one together professionally with a UK domain I (I admit to knowing next to nothing about this in any shape or form but I have seen some that look cheap) and would charge ?150.

Well there's an awful lot of information here already about personal sites, but in a nutshell if I didn't have mine and had to rely on AW I would either have been sectioned or starved to death by now . You don't just get access to virtually every free directory worth the bother but Google too (try Googling 'escort [your town]' and I doubt very much whether your Adultwork profile will come up).

There's a common misconception that punters don't use any other site, but it's not even halfway to being true and depending on where you are and where your competition advertises you could be seriously missing a trick. Apart from anything else, you can get a site done for next to nothing and plenty of people here have done just that .

Im wanting to get a website done too but it seems really expensive when you factor in the cost of having your photos done and the website built. Does anybody have one on free hosting (eg freewebs, wixx)?

See another recent post about the photos issue - it's quite possible, and sometimes positively desirable to do your own.

Yes, some people use wix, moonfruit and some other free services. There is usually a cost in other ways though.
