A tax tribunal found that working in a massage parlour counts as self-employment, somewhat to my surprise. (It doesn't pass many of the usual 'are they self-employed or not' tests.)

The guides published annually by the Child Poverty Action Group are by far the best explanations to the mess that's the benefit system. If you're claiming a means-tested benefit, there's an enormous discount. See www.cpag.org.uk for more details.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Thanks this being first time Ive signed off wasnt sure. Im planning to work at least 32hrs pw that way can claim working tax.

Now I am even more confused. In an earlier thread in July  "Glasgow Hotels" you said you were employed with a company badge.
But now you say you have been signing on.

Have I missed something vital here lol?

Yes you can apply for WTC if you work 32 hours a week but I think what you mean is that you are AVAILABLE for 32 hours, which is a huge different kettle of sardines compared to actually working 32 hours. To receive WTC you
need to actually work those hours.

The work id I have is from where I volunteer. I have never had a paid job (not through lack of trying). I am unable to offer incalls and Im not comfortable booking a hotel room what with all the raids. I am not making anything from escorting and im only making ?50pm from private gallery.
