Does anyone else get paranoid that a client will come back to their apartment unannounced. This is my first few weeks on the job and I’m often up at night terrified someone will come back to the flag uninvited.

How do I get over this.

I'll quick copy paste what I wrote in another thread about this:

During the brief periods when I have worked from home though I make it clear to clients that the place is not my home. By throwing casual remarks into conversation.

When they compliment the place - 'ooh yes, lovely isn't it, I was pleasantly surprised when I got here this morning, looks better than the photos on airbnb'

When they ask if you have a busy day planned after their booking - 'I have one more booking this evening, then I will drive/get the train home, and I will come back here on Monday morning to work'

So far it has worked for me, and hopefully will work again if I work from home in the future for any reason.

For regular clients, you can  tell them that you tour several locations including that one, which explains why you keep returning to it. Always imply that you are only there for your work shifts, say 3x8 hour shifts a week for example, and then your boyfriend or security buddy picks you up to take you home after your last booking - works for me.

No doubt as you settle into working you will get used to tuning into and trusting your gut instinct and feel more confident. It's very wise though to be cautious and aware of risks. Hope everything is going well for you so far :)
