'Classy Escort Girls' is the offshoot-they-didn't-want-us-to-notice of the deeply dubious 'Escort Agency Jobs', a fake advice board for agency workers designed to point new ladies towards their operation (as described here).

I can't post a link to the original because it was soon taken down, but ?300 for photos is a total rip off, which they have probably told you it is for after reading on here that this might be a way to get money out of people, and I would give it a VERY wide berth.

If you want to find a proper agency there are plenty listed on the main directories, or try Google. Just apply the same criteria as described in Scam Agencies thread and you shouldn't go far wrong.

Welcome to SAAFE!

What Amy said,

Also one thing you could do if a company wants you to do a photoshoot through them is to tell them you have your own professional photos, which you would like to use. If they are genuine they should be happy to use them for your profile, jf they insist on you do thier photo shoot I would be careful.

Welcome and good luck.

I found an agency called perfect partners through parttimejobs-uk.com, and they have taken a few of my details as well as some photographs, and require a registration yearly fee of ?299. Now that is a lot of money for me, apparently I have a booking set up which will earn me ?600, but in order to do this I have to part with my money first, 24 hours before the booking.
I am dubious as so far I have tried to gain some written advice and reassurance, however my emails have been replied to with "it'll be better if I phone you".
They do sound very professional, byt the testimonials on their site can be found at other agency sites. I have asked for a registered business number and some written reasurrance but the booking is for tomorrow and I am due to pay today.
Do I part with my money with the prosppect of earning the easiest ?600 of my life? Or do I proceed with caution and miss out on what might be a great opportunity?
Help!

It isn't great opportunity, and you won't earn ?600. You will lose ?299, which is a lot of money by anybody's standards, particuarly when you may as well set fire to it.

Read this, and this.

What Amy said. Run like the wind unless you want to be parted from ?299 forever.

Just looking at the contact details in the terms for that part-time jobs site, he can?t even remember his name   by the end of the paragraph.

Secondly, as you say they wont put anything in writing, so what happens if you do ignore everybody here and pay, your shafted, as you can?t prove anything was ever said.

Just reading of other scam organisations that operate in EXACTLY the same way, why do you  feel this could be any different?

And to finish my annual post  Why not suggest if this client really wants you, they take your fee out of the commission, and see how many excuses they give you why they cant, ill bet they have at least 5.

Many of the scam agencies advertise under many different name, so the testemonials could all be from the same company.

Tell them you can't afford it and if they want they can take the ?299 fee from the booking. I bet you the ?299 that they will tell you that is not possible = SCAM!!! (Oops, sorry Anjali, just notice you already said that)

As everyone has said to every enqiury of this nature: If the agency want money up front and guarantee you a booking before you have even been signed they are a scam

Escorting is not a quick money spinner, it is a serious business in a competitive market and no-one can guarantee bookings like that!

I emailed to ask for the registered business number and confirmation in writing as I'm aware that the dealings so far have been by telephone and kim the "agent" has been incredibly reluctant to write anything in an email.
I have alarm bells going off so thank you for confirming my concerns.....I think I will keep hold of my ?299. Are there any professional escort agencies out there at all?

These have been posted before, but I haven't got the time to search for the threads and have them bookmarked. You can use these sites to check up on businesses
http://www.alexa.com/
http://domains.whois.com/domain.php?action=whois

As said acid test is to ask them to take the fee from your first booking.

Again check some of the other threads on here and the main site for agencies or how to find them, as this question has been asked many times before and it also depends on your area.

Oh lots. Have a look on the various 'punting' websites to see who is advertised / being reviewed on them.

This does not guarantee they will be interested in having you join them, and many do have an extremely narrow view of what a successful escort looks like. (Or perhaps, a realistic view of their own inability to market properly someone who doesn't fit their own stereotypes.) But given that you have experience it should not be impossible to find somewhere if you want to work for an agency.

I emailed to ask for the registered business number and confirmation in writing as I'm aware that the dealings so far have been by telephone and kim the "agent" has been incredibly reluctant to write anything in an email.

This is not the test of being a scam or not. There are loads of genuine agencies which are not registered companies, for example. This is not surprising, as the people running agencies are behaving illegally, controlling prostitution for gain.

What genuine agencies do not do is demand money from prospective staff before they have cash in their hand from a client. This lot did and it proves, despite everything else that they said, that they are a scam.

I used your suggestion...I said that I would be happy to proceed if the ?600 booking fee contributed to the registration fee...the client pays the agency ?299 and gives me the rest in cash.....I will keep you updated for a response, but their response to my previous email was this:
I have received your email.  I am very worried can you please contact me asap.
I do need to speak to you on the phone. Please let me know a convenient time.
Regards Kim

I also had a voicemail saying they were worried that they would have to find someone else for the booking - funny that they are more concerned with the booking than addressing my concerns.....I have no confidence in them whatsoever!

By the way to be legal escort agencies are actually 'employed' by the Escort otherwise they would be prosecuted for pimping. So on this basis the agent is in your employ and should be doing everything they can to get you what you want - i.e. obtain and get you to a booking,  I would suggest pointing this out to them since they working this  as if you are  the employee and henceforth are commiting a crime...........

Not true, I'm afraid.

What stops more people running agencies being prosecuted for controlling prostitution for gain is that the police have better things to do with their time.

Sorry I should have qualified that a little better. Agents will often quote that line themselves and of course other employment agencies do not charge fees upfront - it's up to them to do the promotion before they get their pay.
