I've never heard a punter mention Tinder or other dating sites either; the occasional one who's tried out the 'sugar' sites yes. In my experience they found it far too much like hard work and prefer the straightforward £X for X time and X services approach.

Obviously the ones who didn't won't have come back to tell me about it, but these sites aren't having any noticeable effect on business for me (and that's not because my clients are all butt ugly and grim, either - far from it). Either way the idea that casual sex is a new thing that will destroy the paid sex industry is just odd.

Social media and sites like Tinder which are the sex equivalent are very professional with how they suck up attention. Politics is very depressing too nowadays. I'm guessing it's a few things which are depressing demand.

I have had an uptake in my services this month making the most of the fact that what I offer is appealing to some men.  There will always be a demand for sex workers - it is just at what price point the men want to enter the market.
Those men who used to pay xx amount may now seek to pay yy amount.  Every pot has a lid. Those clients who drop off your books will make way for new clients.  This business is cyclical. Keep the faith.

I honestly can't see the industry dying. I am no less popular now, than i was when i started. I am also incredibly vanilla! Only things really causing a decrease for some people is more competition, poor marketing, poor service or overcharging. Probably other factors too, but those are the main ones i can see.

I agree the above may play a part but pretty sure I have those bases covered and do think location plays a big part and if the option to change that just now isn't available it's a bit of a bummer.
