Title: Is it safe to do OWO??
Post by: Through The Glory Hole on 05 September 2023, 03:37:20 pm
Good day everyone :)

After a while of mulling it over i finally bit the bullet and started escorting.

Ive been staying away from OWO and just doing OW but i was wondering. Would it be reletively safe to do OWO and CIM if i request proof of a recent STI test? Along with looking for physical signs. Im thinking about offering it as an extra but my health is important to me so im just weighing up the pros and cons.

Its not fool proof i know but would it likely increase my safety?

Sorry if this has been covered before but i couldnt find something that matched.

Thanks in advance

Recent STI tests aren’t worth the paper they are written on tbh as it takes 24 hours I think before you can get a test and a client could have had sex after the test. (Someone else can correct me if I’m wrong).

I’ve had oral gonorrhoea twice in 10 years (that I know about) but there are often no symptoms.

The only way to be 100% safe is to offer protected oral.

Only you can decide.

Good luck x

Thank you :)

Is OWO a regular service you provide?

I don't do it, but I would let a client CIM with a condom on. I'm not sure whether other providers do that.

Good luck!

There is no safe sex, only safer sex, and nobody can decide for you where to draw your line when it comes to protecting yourself - it's personal to you.

I don't do unprotected oral, but it's 50/50 between the health risks and just not wanting some randoms bare cock dribbling in my mouth  :-X. I do know quite a few women who have caught chlamydia and/or gonorrhoea, but that doesn't mean you will (or won't) and so much depends on how busy you are, your general health and dental hygiene and so on.

Have you discussed it with your GUM? They'll know the prevalence of infections in your area and can give you tailored advice which we can't here :).

Thank you both

The CIM protected service is something i offer atm along with a facial but i was thinking about adding OWO, CIM or just swallow if clients had a recent test. What are your thoughts on just swallowing straight down? Ive read on here alot of people think its the safest way to do it

What are your thoughts on just swallowing straight down?

My thought is that if I could actually do it (which I couldn't) I would vomit with the force of a thousand hurricanes.

You crack on, though.

Swallow= No away

I’ve seen bright red blood in semen and dirty brown blood.

I don’t swallow anything I haven’t seen first.

I think you really need to do your own research. Asking questions is fine but there a LOT of threads on here to help.

If you’re that worried about catching something perhaps you should reconsider this line of work.

Im not worried about catching something, just cautious. Thats why i only do OW. Just trying to diversify a little whilst not opening myself up to too much risk.

OW or OWO is so personal it's pointless asking other people if they do it or not because we all have our own ways of working and preferences. If you want good advice about STDs there's plenty on the NHS website.

If your health is very important to you then it's a no brainer stick with doing OW especially if you can still make alright money.

I don't think the STI proof will be much good as needs to be tested on the day you see them not 2 weeks or a month before and would not be surprised if some get fake results like they do with these fake banking apps.

I have known quite a few women that have caught infections over the years from OWO so there is always a risk. I personally think deepthroat and CIM will be higher risk too.

Of course it is up to you at the end of day as only you can decide if you want to, plus how are you with dribbly strangers dicks in your mouth does that bother you as it is very different if they dribble into a condom?

Nothing is 100% safe sex, I was doing OW and protected sex but I still got a nasty std in my bum and I do not offer anal but somehow by saliva or touch I got something in my bottom, first time i ever got a std at 40. If OW makes you feel more relaxed to escort then do that, Eliminate some worry.

The GUM clinic provide me with anus testing even thought I don't offer anal. Some clients do lick, kiss that area and saliva does transfer from RO on the vaginal area. I've not yet caught anything during 10 plus years of sex work, the STDs I had were a long time ago late teens long before I was paid for sex.

OWO is not 'safe' neither is kissing but kissing is as far as I understand miniscule risk. Many punters do want OWO BUT my observations from posts on here is that many respect the decision, respect the safety, some may stop booking, others will book in their place. I offer OWO and unless asked for OW I always perform OWO, a very few perhaps 2 or 3 per year ask for OW. I am low volume and do not have any unprotected intercourse with anyone. Also I work on trying not to transfer with hands, am up to date on hep B vaccinations so basically do everything else I can to minimise risk.

The only STIs I have ever contracted were back in my late teens from a man I already knew, I had unprotected sex with a couple of casual partners that year caught crabs and chlamydia both genital area and passed both on to someone I then had a short term relationship with. I learned a lot that summer, did continue having unprotected sex but settled with one partner for quite a while.

Only you can decide but the safest sex is protected oral, protected intercourse. Also make sure the GUM clinic test your oral cavity, the clinic I use do not routinely offer this but provide it for me because they know I am a sex worker they also provided hep b vaccine and checks on the same basis.

I would personally never, mainly because most client literally couldn't not care less so there is no need and the ones that do specifically ask for owo are usually not the type of clients I like to see anyway. At this point I ignore people who ask for any unprotected services and it made my work easier.

Plus std in throat is nasty, my friend had it in her first month of working, the back of her throat completely white, it looked like strep throat.

But probably most importantly I've now heard of 2 people with throat cancer, that is direct result of hpv virus, I imagine if you have owo with hundreds different people you can possibly catch all possible strains of it, including cancerous ones. It won't happen to most people, but if there is literally a chance I get cancer from it when I'm older, there is no freaking way

I do OWO and CIM but I do say that it is at my discretion.

HPV is becoming a real problem. Cases of throat cancer from giving oral have now passed the cases from smoking. I have always done owo at discretion but am thinking very seriously about making it covered because of this.

Yep i know someone who got throat cancer think i might have mentioned this before on here and she was convinced it's because she done so much OWO and deepthroat etc with strangers.

I think a lot of women are aware of all the risks but money out weighs it and lets be honest so many clients want it and expect it. I wish there was more clients out there that don't want or expect OWO like it used to be years ago.

It's been years since I did O
but I agree with the person earlier who said MOST clients aren't bothered whether you do or don't do covered O. Most are booking to sexy you no matter how you do the service.
It is wrong to think you will earn more money by offer OWO or for example anal - it doesn't work that way at all. Over decades I've found its best and easiest to keep it simple.

And therefore - stick to what you like to do.

Is OWO a regularly chosen service by your punters?

Very much so. Or rather there are regulars that don't want anything else. But as others have said, never do it without checking their semen looks healthy first. So never on a first booking. Hand job is the best way to do that. I agree that swallowing straight down is best.

How do you know semen is healthy from appearance, is semen appearance indicative of an STI?

It's definitely not a screen for STI's - no way. But if it looks lumpy or watery or discoloured in any way I want to keep clear. Healthy semen in my eyes looks smooth and creamy with usually white-ish streaks in it. Sometimes it has an almost jelly like consistency, and that's okay. Bear in mind that it is different fluids that are mixed at the last moment as the man ejaculates. If you leave it a few minutes it sort of melts and turns clearer. The colours to be wary of are yellow or even slightly green, and of course any sign of blood at all is a no no. When you have seen plenty of it from different men you get to know what is healthy and what is not or unusual. Also be wary of unusual smells. Normally it has a slight odour a bit like fresh bread which I quite like.

I've seen plenty and I have found it varies from man to man, I have no idea if appearance of semen is related to sexual health but I will ask on my next GUM clinic visit.

Blood often sign of prostate issues, seen this in personal life - an added benefit of using condoms for all intercourse meant my OH could see the faint pink tinge then later coffee grain like dried blood. Straight to GP plenty of investigations thankfully not cancer only age related enlarged prostate. I've seen blood in a punter's condom only twice, one said he knew about it ( :FF  :o), the other went straight to his GP.

Well you did ask! I was just outlining what I notice particularly, for general info.

Of course there is a fair bit of variation. In the same man too it can vary a lot. I think how it looks is often a reflection of overall health.

I have been doing OWO for 10 years, I have never contracted any illness from it.

If I decide to do it this way, it's because the taste of latex really disgusts me and the plastic of the condom means I can't go as deep as I would like.

I have never done CIM.

It is a personal decision and as they say, nothing is 100% certain.
