Is Canary Wharf still a good place to work?
« on: 13 October 2021, 09:16:48 am »
Hey everyone

I’m currently looking to find an apartment to work long term

In normal times , was Canary Wharf a good place to work?

I know it’s a bit different now with offices not back to normal but as I plan to live there for a long time , I’m wondering if I should still consider it.

If not , what is your favourite borough to work in?

I’m also considering Marylebone as well. And I’ve had luck with Victoria in the past

I'd prefer Marylebone over Canary Wharf anyday.  The Wharf maybe active during the day but is dead at nights/weekends. For me, Marylebone has more "soul".  Also the clients would be quite plentiful as there are various transport options to get to Marylebone including walking.  Canary Wharf really is not in a walkable area in proximity to anything and the buses are not great so footfall traffic would be questionable.

If I'd opt for Marylebone over Canary Wharf any day. Marylebone (and Baker Street) is already a really popular location for escorts, and also in close proximity to Fitzrovia, Mayfair and Paddington which are hot spots too.

I think people are only just beginning to go back into offices regularly, and as said, Canary Wharf can be dead at the weekend. It's also a bit out of the way. I love Marylebone, it's much more central and there's a lot more to see/do nearby.

Canary wharf is not only office area but also residential,  so you will be fine. Although if you want to be not so much out of way for other people,  I would also look in Bow, Bethnal green, etc.

Marylebone prices is completely different so I am not sure why are you comparing these 2 areas. CW is like 1.3k pcm, Marylebone is like 1.9k pcm for 1 bed flats.

i was just there and it was quiet for me.  I went to the shopping centre for lunch and it was absolutely packed so I think enough people are in the office and although I don't know what weekends are like, I wouldn't recommend the area right now.

I'm tempted by CW because I like huge blocks of flats. Which central areas also offer this kind of infrastructures to live in? Because when I look at available properties in Marylebone I see mostly houses or houses into flats conversions.

im touring here now and its quiet compared to the previous 7-10 times iv'e been here. im using available and local escorts. the only thing i can think of is that there's more girls here now than before so you hv more competition. other than that, its a very safe and wealthy area.

Thanks for the reply x
I also think it can be a duo to UK entering level 4 (COVID) and problems with AW numbers display?

If you would be low volume would you consider living there?

For last week punters without AW account wasn't able to access your number on the profile. But they changed it today after the pressure from all WG. It destroyed my tour in Kent too...
