Hi evie,

When you open a bank account you're asked to provide ID and proof of address. I don't think you can open an account in the UK with a different name unless you're  in Switzerland. I'll ask my bank Monday of the possibility of getting a separate account/card with my business name.

Yes, of course!  But if it's a business bank account, the name of the account will be the registered business name (which could be anything you want, so long as no one else has it, so you could call it ana30 massage ltd or whatever) , rather than you personal name.   So you don't have to reveal your name on billing enquiries, or it could work for any girl that wants to take a deposit to her account without giving out her real bank details.

Of course, you have to register a business with companies house if you want a business bank account....

I know, but that's a pain in the butt and unless you have a real business with people working for you (not my case). there's no need for complicating your (tax) life so much.

Not as a sole trader you dont, although your bank account will then have your name and T/A company name, but I  just give people the company name for bank deposits. Im guessing it would be the same paying for something.

Most banks are quite happy to give  almost anybody a business bank account because they have charges for just about everything  >:( so make a nice profit out of them.

I don't want to open another moonfruit thread so I'll continue this one.

I've had it. It's not the technical issues or the difficulties learning how to build one (been there done that). It's just that I've been all week trying to create a new fancy website. I'm no graphic designer so I end up coming with these terrible web designs that I'm not happy with. My question: Is there anyway I can get my web design by some fancy designer? Is there anyway moonfruit can provide the design? (fee involved of course). Does anyone know a designer who can do this? (please pm me).

I can't be bothered anymore ??? grrr..
