In/out rates, the same or different?
« on: 08 April 2022, 03:14:42 pm »
Hey, hope you’re all well :)

Not asking for specific numbers obvs. But do you charge the same for incalls and outcalls.
Or more for in/out?
For what reason do you charge more or less for either?

I had a short phase (like a few weeks) years ago when first starting incalls where I was charging more for incalls, and had several people mention it wasn’t the norm to do it that way around. I changed it as was my plan anyway.

But for me now as the way things stand it actually ends up costing me more to offer incalls than to do an outcall. So I’m in two minds at the moment.
Just wondering your thoughts?
Thanks x

The way I see it I can get more clients per day doing incalls with a 45 min break in between, whereas I'm limited on outcalls plus there are travelling expenses, so I charge more for outcalls. I prefer doing incalls in the day and the odd outcall in the evening.

It's normal to charge more for out calls due to travel expenses plus the time spent travelling. I prefer in calls and don't mind out calls to a lovely hotel and taken out for dinner.

I charge more for out-calls because they're a PITA and involve time and expense travelling.

I charge a bit more for outcalls because of travel time and fuel costs. In some ways i get why incalls could be more because of hotel costs but the norm is most charge less for that and they hope do more then outcalls.

I charge the same up to a certain travel time, I can only accept very low numbers of incalls which are always in demand. Also I find being at my incall 20 minutes beforehand, setting up, tidying afterward can be the same as travelling to some outcalls. Also because I cam in the same room, I take down lights and put away other paraphernalia which then has to be reconstructed.

Yep, this is my issue at the moment. The time to get ready etc and get there also, usually for me takes longer than travelling to outcalls. And nowadays I can’t stay in the incall room waiting around so I’m limited to like 2/3clients, and they usually book less time (more usually half hours) so it doesn’t add up to more than an outcall quite often.

I’m just confused as to what to do. Thanks for your replies, does seem more the norm to have higher rates for outcalls.
Maybe I’ll just have to go against the grain for my own financial sake 😂

Just because it's the 'norm' doesn't mean it has to be the way you do it, your rates have to work for you. Those who book outcalls usually get a booking sooner, whereas those who can only book incall may have to wait - some do and in their own words use the cost of a hotel room to book longer incall.

I charge the same for incalls as I do outcalls because I only offer incalls from hotels currently so still have to cover additional costs
