Hey all, apologies if this has been mentioned but I just found out that people can now buy raybans with inbuilt cameras. I don't know what the chances are that someone might use it when visiting a sexworker but you never know.

Just a heads up.

Crazy! But at least if a client wears sunglasses indoors that in itself would be a reg flag!

That's true actually. I didn't think of it that way.

Yep, after a guy tried to book me with a report I her them all to take glasses off now, even if they protest they can't see.

Why not just ask to look at their glasses and check them over? I can't see a thing without mine and I wouldn't be impressed if I was forced to remove them in a situation where I would want to be able to see - they're cheap plastic frames and plainly not hiding anything.

Can we also take the endless oblique references to 'reports' down a notch? Newbies reading won't have a clue what you're talking about and it's not in any way relevant to the thread topic :).

I think it's reasonable to ask to inspect them. I'd be comfortable in telling them why, and any decent client would understand. If they did have naughty camera glasses on I very much doubt they'd hand them over and they'd simply run away. When on outcalls if a laptop is open then I close it. If they have a busy looking pile of clothes or baggage then I sling my coat over it.

I just have a good look now and if I can’t get a good enough look I reach out and gently take them off while saying I’m a clumsy cow and I’m not paying for new goggles with a wink. Iv only had a couple say oh it’s ok they’re cheap or they can’t see a thing but by that point Iv looked at them and held them enough to be comfortable enough they’re just glasses.

As Sw we are always wary of our surroundings and can sometimes let our guard down, I had a man the other week with a camera in his glasses, They were raybans camera glasses. If anyone has heard of them. Luckily I spotted it before service. Can’t imagine the other amount of gadgets, safe to say I knocked a lense out of them silly man

Are there any obvious ways to identify cameras on glasses? or know if they're being used to record?

The rayban ones have a red light on in the corner of the frame when recording.

So it would be obvious? I haven't had this yet, so I don't want to be caught out.
