Increase in filming
« on: 23 July 2020, 01:10:51 am »
Iv seen a couple of posts lately on clients filming bookings using glasses.

Do you think it’s ridiculous to ask them to have their phone and glasses in their pocket when they arrive? There’s always going to be clients say they can’t see a thing without them.

I wouldn’t want them to think Iv lost it or be offended.

I have seen posts from ladies who get the guys to leave their "bits and bobs" in a tray - I think this would work brilliantly right now, telling them that "due to the risk of coronavirus contamination" etc. If they complain they can't see at all, YOU give the glasses a wipe over, this will give you the chance to see if the glasses look dodgy at all.

Just a couple of ideas off the top of my head at 3am lol

Yeh I didn’t even think about the corona excuse.

Il get a little box to take with me and pop it somewhere that’s not in view of anything.

Thankyou!

Camera glasses are really obvious, they have a pin whole in the center and the arms are really thick to accommodate the electronics

However if a client really wants to film, there are cameras that look like buttons, pens, key fobs, there are cameras in clocks, smoke alarms and watches

Spotting spy glasses

Has anyone got any advice on checking these please?

I'm guessing you can see the camera if you check them closely and that they are likely to have thicker frames, lights, buttons and some sort of USB port. I've looked at a few that seem to have these but wondering what other people's experiences are like of noticing them.

I saw a client yesterday that I suspect could have been wearing them. Although I suppose I could have been recorded many times by now without realising, there are so many spying devices these days.

Maz, I am going to quote what I've written elsewhere:

Quote
I do worry about being recorded so insist that any watches, phones, tablets and laptops are put away. If a client is wearing glasses, I ask to look at them just to check they're not google glasses or ones with a camera. (However, it is rare that I even have to ask about any of this.)

Slightly over the top I know, but one of my ex-clients has form for covert filming, something I found out via CE, and why he's no longer a client.

I looked at various styles online, most are really obvious once you know what to look for - some like Rayban's camera is really obvious, 'professional' spyware glasses less so but once you know what to look for, you won't miss it.

It's also worth looking at the lenses themselves and if there's actually a prescription, many spy glasses have lenses that are completely 'normal' and without any kind of magnification.

As per your OP, many styles do not have a USB port, they use bluetooth or other portless means for charging. Often the footage that is filmed goes straight to the Cloud too, so they don't even need to transfer the footage.

If a client is wearing glasses and you feel they might contain spyware, just ask them to remove them. I would also put a note about this on your profile/website so no-one can complain should you insist.

(In my personal life, quite a few of my boyfriends wore glasses. Some were really really shortsighted. They all removed them when we had sex, so would be automatically suspicious of anyone who leaves their glasses on, but maybe that's just me!)

I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Has anyone actually had a problem with these?
I would have thought they looked odd or clunky and not like regular specs.

This has got me wondering now

I got a guy who comes to see me and he wears big thick frame glasses.. it could be innocent but  it has got me thinking  now.. he never takes them off during the booking.. I googled what they look like so next time he comes see me in going to discreetly check them out..

I had a look on google, some look awful but not all. I’ll likely have another better look at the at another time but at a glance there seems to be quite a few passable styles.

You can't be too cautious with this. There have been so many cases of men filming women without their consent, and they often do it to sex workers because theres evidence that they get lower sentencing. Honestly, please assume the worst and insist on glasses/laptops/phones all of that being kept AWAY

Whenever they have  thicker framed glasses,  I always want to ask them to remove them but conscious that they might not be able to see without them. Is it unreasonable to just ask them to remove if I feel suspicious as I want to most of the time?

As someone else has said, I have dated a guy who wore quite strong prescription glasses but he always took them off during sex and I think all clients wearing glasses remove them so I'd be suspicious of a guy who didn't.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable when it’s a valid concern and when I think about it, the majority of my clients who wear glasses take them off as they don’t want to risk damaging them. I think I would be more suspicious of someone who kept theirs on.

With glasses you need to look at the arms were the electronics are, they are thicker then normal glasses especially were they meat the frame. Also to film with glasses you need to point at the subject you are filming, so look at odd movement of the head.

However there are many other devices that are difficult to spot, pens, clocks, key thobes, hats/caps, badges, smoke alarms. Just check were they are positioned
