Ouch.

I had similar last week, a guy who had used so much soap i could taste it on him.  its better than tasting horrible sweaty bollocks but it felt like i was having my mouth washed out with soap... my mum allways warned me it would happen if i didnt stop swearing!!!

hahahahaha.

Good one, Lexie!

Seriously, what is it with the Brits and your senses of humour.  Is anyone miserable over there?

Well Cece, nearly everything here is doom and gloom, so if we didn't laugh at everything we would all be so depressed and commit suicide and there would be no british people left, so we choose to laugh in the face of adversity. ;)

... and before anyone get's their knickers in a twist - no - I'm not making light of suicide.

Ahh its not all doom and gloom.  You need to do what ive done sweetie, get rid of your TV.  I havent had a telly for 6months so i dont have to watch the news or depressing daytime tv or any other sad stuff.  I just go on line and watch the funny bits and read a paper from time to time to make sure im kept in the loop.

I do find that us brits are able to make light of most situations though.... sometimes not always in good taste.  Not sure it went down so well at my nans funeral when i asked if i would have to go to confession when everyone else was.  My aunt said i didnt, it was up to me and my response was 'thank god cos the funerals tomorrow and i wouldnt be finished on time'... im not always tactfull!!!  ;D

I think we have a dry , sarcastic sense of wit here in UK!! Its a mix of  inherited by proxy "stiff upper lip" realism and shit weather !!
I have found listening to "Cream Classics" Volume 1 (House Music circa 1997)  always helps ! especially "Break For Love " Raze and "Runaway" by D'Lacey  TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE!!!

There's making an effort and there's making an effort, when you're nervous you want it to be right and I'd probably do the same.  I remember when I was a little'un and my friend and I stole a cigarette from my Dad and went to try and smoke it (I think it was a Bill Clinton attempt, didn't know we had to inhale!) We were both sooo bloody scared we'd be found out that we doused ourselves in about half a bottle of perfume and deodorant and reeked to high heaven ;D
