I can understand the situation, as some of us are with similar predicament. How to you do your stripper activity? Do you go via an agency? and how does this work with your "day job"? Similar situation will be with escorting.

From personal experience, I believe going independent is more suitable for you: you are in control and you play by your own rules. Yes, it's more expensive as you need to do a website and photos and pay yourself. As for scanning the clients, you can do via online platforms as adultwork, where there is feedback; besides as this is a part-time activity you don't want to have a ton of clients, as you probably won't have the time, so the risk is smaller!
Please note that NOTHING in life is risk free...you may be walking and have a heart attack...so it's all about calculated risk and minimizing it to the least. If you go with an agency, you are exposed to them.

I love the idea of being independent and playing by my own rules. But The one thing that turns me off from being independent is I feel like I have to make myself as "known" as possible. Like I mentioned earlier, I like to keep a low profile, I'm not crazy about the idea that any one can pull up my website. What do escorts put on their websites anyway?

As a stripper, I work freelance and club hop so no agency.

I know that no one can guarantee my safety and there are always risks I was just wondering how an agency deals with that kind of stuff. Like do I screen the clients or do they essentially book any random Joe? And is there security to protect us? I legit have no idea how it works.

I am a French Canadian from Montreal.  (That's why my English is bad! )  But I spend a lot of time each year in London (UK).

I understand why SAAFE ladies advise against escort agencies, but the situation is different in Canada. And many agencies in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver are very good.


Personally I would say that there are advantages and disadvantages to being with an agency and to be independent. (And I have done both for several years in Montreal)

A reputable agency run by women is always a good choice: they are more sensitive to security issues and more supportive.  You do not have to deal with your advertising, bookings, etc. And you're going to have a lot of work. You will receive half of what the customer will give plus tips.

 The only thing you have to do is tell when you are available. For example, "I will be available this week Thursday and Friday evenings from 5.00 pm to 11.pm". A good agency will only accept outcalls contracts in 4 and 5 star hotels. And incalls in agency apartments or in 4 and 5 stars hotels. Punters do not want to have problems with hotel management or with the police. (It's illegal to buy sex, but it's not illegal to sell it).

 And yes you will be more anonymous if you work for an agency. On the other hand you will not choose your customers.

If you are independent you must have your own website and I suggest you do your advertising in the Toronto forum called TERB. You will need to be careful to protect your anonymity and have your face blurred on your photos. You will choose your customers (screening) and receive all the sums paid by the customers. You will be in full control of all your business. But in the beginning, if you do not have reviews, you will find it difficult to have customers.

My suggestion? Start with a good agency and then when you are more experienced, you can try as independent. You can then choose what you like best.
