« on: 09 April 2008, 06:57:24 am »
Hello, I'm new to escorting, I want to know how do I screen clients, are there certain questions I should ask, and what should I say or not say on the phone or email.  Thank you

Hi Kim, I'm feeling lazy so I'll just cut and post this from my site, lol :

Q. What information will you need ?
A. For an incall when I'm touring, I need your name and a contact mobile number, as I need to text you my location on the day. I will never contact you without your prior permission.

For an outcall to a hotel, I need your name and room number, this is so I can check you have checked into the hotel, and confirm the booking with you. For an outcall to your home, I need your name, address, post code and landline number. This may seem excessive, but it's standard practice amongst escorts and your details are perfectly safe. I need the information to ensure that the booking is genuine, and also for my personal safety.Last and not least, I need your postcode for my sat-nav, as my sense of direction is woeful.

That's about it, always call 118118 and make sure the landline matches the name and address.
Some guys have various stories ready, such as "I've just moved into the house, so don't have a landline", or
"The phone's in my landlord's name. " After a while you develop a sense of who's real and who's not, a kind of an instinct,
but if you're just starting out I would say stick to the rules like glue.

I may seem a bit thick here but I was just wondering if the client is exdirectory, will 118118 still have all these details?

Kim, the ladies who set this website up have a vast array of information on the main site if you take the time to read it, including the answer to questions like "how to screen clients".

Welcome and good luck.
Yep follow bennyboys advice, and if you search the topics on the forum you will find there are a number that deal with that info.

If a client's details is ex-directory then no, 118118 won't have their details either. In which case I would advise not to go. I don't go and see anybody who's details can't be checked.
Not unless you work for an agency and they're a trusted client.

Agreed.
Do not go.
If the phone is in another person's name, they should give you that other person's name as well. Don't fall for that old trick.
'Oh, it's not my phone, I am not comfortable giving you my Dad's name...'
'Ok, Sir, then I am not comfortable calling to see you.'

I don't care if your desperate for the money and I have been in the past, no details, no go.
Welcome, by the way. Nice to see you here.  :)

If you provide incalls then invite them to yours if there's a problem verifying their details. I've done that a couple of times.

I've also done ok asking for an online deposit from people whose phone number I can't check (adultwork is a good combination of reliable and simple for this). I've found the guys who I've asked have been either very understanding or completely against it. The ones who wouldn't do it were mostly asking me to travel a long distance late in the evening and generally had a vibe of being timewasters.

The trouble is these days an awful lot of folk have their landlines withheld, and ex-directory - seems to be fashionable all of a sudden, as well as something you get asked when setting up your phone account. I suspect some think it cuts down on nuisance or sales calls.

Both can be rectified - withheld by dialing 1470 before the number you are dialling, and the directory entry by the account holder ringing with account number and requesting a change (can always be swapped later). Only trouble for clients would arise where say the account is in another family members name!

Thanks for 1470. I knew the opposite of 141 existed but had forgotten the number.

You also have issues with people who've recently moved house and aren't in the directory yet, and people who have broadband and a mobile but no landline (although that's probably less common now that bundled contracts are common).

Especially with better and better mobile packages and expensive line rentals for landline. When some people move they don't bother getting a landline fitted. It's just as easy getting broadband fitted.

One way around it is to ask if they can scan a copy of a recent bill sent to the house in their name. One guy did that to me since he didn't have a landline.

Of course they could forge it but there are ways of using other folks landlines etc too.

they could forge it

Nobody is going to bother forging a utility bill when they could just pick up the phone and call up the next clueless working girl who isn't so security conscious. If they willing to go to that much effort, they are going to get to you no matter what you try...
