I posted about the HMRC reporting almost a year ago or more and was side eyed by a few others I believe.  What many civvies do not understand is that information is freely shared once it is electronic and what they tell you is not what actually happens.  THEY = AGENCIES

What that poster needs to do is get an accountant to sort out her finances and open a few accounts to spread out her income deposits.

LLoyds bank is a good bank and once you have a "legit" source of income, they will leave you alone and happily take your deposits.  Only problem is that they are closing so many branches it is hard to deposit cash.

I've had business and personal account with LLoyds since 2008 no problems banking cash. But I have my business down as holistic therapy.

You can pay in at all post offices.

The OP if claiming UC - could face jail time, fines and benefit fraud charges.

If PIP then  any amount she earns doesn't affect her.

My friend was working as a sex worker and claiming housing benefit and tax credits etc - before UC came out.

They caught her out because a woman reported her saying her partner was living with her, when she told benefits she was single.

They sold a few puppies via freeads, they found their ads and done her on that alone! Proved she was selling puppies at £200 each.

She had a caution and had to repay back all benefits or face prison.

And she worked in a parlour and didn't bank any cash - so luckily they didn't have her on that but they wrote too all banks who provided the income and went through everything like a fine tooth comb.

Hi I am a sex worker for viva and Aw and I am on benefits and I have not Declared my taxes or I would lose my benefits and I just want to know what is the best safe bank account that I can deposit my money i make daily from escorting please

My bank account got closed down with Lloyd's and Halifax without no reason so I'm left with

Metro Bank
Barclays
TSB

Anyone tell me which bank they suggest which they so far have had no problems with fron banks questioning about deposits and transfers

As I cant keep my money in my flat as I could be at high risk of being robbed or getting raided

I have to ask why are you not paying tax ?

You have had loads of replies but started another thread as mentioned by Amy

If your not paying tax you are foolish it’s that simple

You should really consider declaring your money especially if it’s enough where you need to start putting it in the bank, things like this give sex workers a bad name because people think we are the types to scam the system which is basically what you are doing. If you are making enough money to live on why would you claim benefits, I don’t agree with this at all. It’s not hard to set up as self employed and there are accountants out there that will accept our job. Also it would genuinely help you for your future to either properly save money in the right way or have self employment as a job on your CV to help you get another job in the future. Tax evasion is not right when you are earning decent money

Hi Everyone

I had a letter by Lloyd's Bank asking me that I have deposited 42K within the last 12 months and they want to know where this money has coming from and I'm worried if I dont reply to the letter it cud turn into a investigation and accuse me of money laundering

If you are making over 42k a year why do you need to claim benefits? I don't think there are any banks that won't question why someone is depositing this much cash without any explanation (ie. Self employment). I don't think the culture on this forum is likely to be supportive of someone who wants to dodge paying tax and fraudulently claim benefits.
