If it's painful, why do you want to do it?

I wouldn't recommend toys bar those designed for anal (so butt plugs and whatnot), and certainly not anything very rigid - I offer anal but I wouldn't want anything that didn't have at least some flexibility and softness in there and even fingers can be really painful and unpleasant.

If you're determined I would have a look on Lovehoney or similar and find some beginner stuff - it'll likely be labelled as such :)

Definitely agree with Amy that you should only offer it if you enjoy it.

I would suggest buying a set of silicone plugs in small, medium, large (or e.g. 5-6), making sure the small one is no bigger than an average-sized finger. Also make sure you have an anal-appropriate lube.

If you have a client/s you get on well enough with you could try a bit of training with them maybe or someone you know that you get on well with.

I used to offer it but found it too uncomfortable and was too hit and miss, although had a couple of successful attempts which I enjoyed. Also I have read that it can weaken sphincter control over time which I don't fancy in old age. Suppose it depends how often it's done.

Or just start with a small buttplug, or indeed even just your finger or thumb.

If you have never done it before then I really wouldn't have the first time you do be with a client.

I have done anal for years and it has never affected my sphincter muscles.

I second the opinion that you could try with somebody you're relaxed with. I had a guy I had known for years insert something small in there. I was relaxed with him so it was the best introduction. Good luck.

My female R.E teacher said something and it stuck. Vagina muscles will go back after being stretched arsehole doesn't so I dont want to be old and shitting myself everywhere  if I can help it.

It's a good job she was an R.E. teacher and not a doctor then isn't it, given that she has no medical training and knows sweet fuck all about physiology ::)

Did she have a white coat on or something? I can't work out how you decided she would be somebody useful to ask about this?

I absolutely agree. Or with a caveat that I would do it with a client who I had been seeing for years and trusted to be sensible (and who had a small-to-average dick)

Yes an anus is less flexible than a vagina. It doesn't produce lubrifaction like a vagina does, so you need to use a LOT of lube, and preferably lube which is specifically for anal. It's a lot more common to get an anal injury than vaginal (through sex).

However it's a total homophobic myth that anal sex causes sphincter damage if you have a sensible partner (or are one.)

What you have to be careful of is porn hounds who think they want to "destroy your ass" (why?) who have no idea how to "warm up" and just want to stick it in and fuck like a pneumatic drill. uggggghhhhhhhh.

I get a lot more enjoyment fucking guys (carefully!) up the arse with my strap on 😜
