Yep, the other sites on the same server are visible to other Virgin Media customers.

I am still wondering what settings the various people who can't see them have on their routers...

Yes, although I just told them the other sites.

I don't think so. That some people consistently cannot see it, while everyone else (including people using the same ISP as the 'can't sees') consistently can suggests that it is some how linked to the 'can't sees' setup.
