Title: How to handle clients who fall in love with you?
Post by: Loverforlife on 07 January 2020, 11:47:36 am
I was just wondering how you guys deal with this?

The ones who message every day or every other day or ask for discounts on longer dates, or say how special they find you and how charmed they are with you. I don't want to have to cut them off, but at the moment I am having to do so.

Any advice given would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Yes it's flattering at first then gets a bit warped and alt girlfriendy! Now I block and forget.
They pay to send us away. If we give them mixed signals it only encourages them.
Infatuations can grow uncomfortable, time consuming,  nasty or even dangerous.
Best not to feed a developing love troll or potential stalker.  :)

Alot of the time theones that are asking for discounts or tell you how special you are are just trying to groom you into having your boundaries pushed. They are not worth having as clients.

Hi Loverforlife

I deal with these clients like the energy vampires they are. No special treatments and an icy ignore if they start to affect my earnings with other clients. I just tell them that I don’t like texting a lot or checking my phone. . I never want to give them the impression I’m desperate for their money and going through hoops for another booking.

When I am truly desperate for money, I grin and bear it. Practicing meditation and deep breathing has helped heaps with clingy infatuated men!

Agree with the others these annoyingly gushy clients are looking for attention, entitled or just trying their luck.

Yes I fail to see it as love or 'care', why would you push a friend or someone you care about?

I was going to say exactly the same. The first red flag is when they constantly say things like "I only see you" & "I really like you" from the outset. You'll notice them staring into your eyes etc it's all about reading your expressions to see what baits you in to be manipulated.

I find it best to just keep it as business like as possible.

A caring punter, calls to book with no faff, treats you with dignity & respects your time.

I just stop seeing them if they either start expecting too much or make too many personal comments.
