How to get better at screening clients?
« on: 31 January 2024, 10:47:51 pm »
I’m a bit like marmite. Clients either love me or hate me 😉

Firstly, a bit of background story. I’ve come back to escorting after years of absence. I started with a few agencies, equally dreadful on different levels. The first one was just rude, and I’m just too old and wise to accept that. The second one was OK, but the receptionists were told to send bloody anybody who called. I had to kick a man out after he pushed me on the bed and generally being vile. It’s not someone who would pass the screening I am doing now. On another note, that means they take anyone, regardless if they are normal and polite on the phone? The agency wasn’t proactive about this incident, so I left. The third time is the charm, again nope. Some clients they sent were really nice, my type of clientele, and others - I knew they were going to leave or cause some unnecessary issues when I opened the door. “The company” said I don’t dress sexy enough. Well, I didn’t want these individuals to stay with me in the first place. I have beautiful dresses. Perhaps my self-esteem is too strong for people who try to manipulate women. All of the above stars of adult business tried to promote me as 100% British as “guys don’t like foreign girls”, “can’t charge high rates”. It also helps that my accent is minimal, but I am proud of it and I don’t spend my time thinking if people question my authenticity because of my nationality. It all felt ridiculous. I understand many girls struggle with their language skills in this industry and not just this one, however my original profile text and my education are sufficient proof for my customers.
Fast forward to the present time, I am independent, and I love it 🙂 It’s so much more relaxed. I don’t reply to moronic texts etc., I screen my clients, but I still have people who leave occasionally. I connect very well with some guys, but during some bookings I just want to finish because it’s awkward. I had a coked up guy telling me recently it was a disappointment, to which I replied - me or the coke? Some girls say they don’t have that problem. Are they just telling tales?
How can I get better at screening clients? Will that come with practise?

It sounds as if your agency did your screening previously (for what it's worth) but it's good that you're doing it yourself now and feel more relaxed. There's nothing better than your own instincts!
Regarding coked up clients, I would be explicit in your ads about what you will not accept. You can word it nicely but firmly. Ie, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave with no refund.
Try to word your marketing to attract the kind of client you would enjoy seeing. Develop an air of confidence (even if you have to fake it!) You'll soon develop your own way of screening
