How to dump a regular?
« on: 27 June 2024, 10:56:44 am »
Hi everyone, in need of some advice please!

So there's a client I've seen a few times now, the first time he was fine but the last couple of times when we've been chatting he's spoken about women and SP's in horrible derogatory ways. The language he uses is utterly vile (not to me, I should add), but about other girls. It massively gave me the ick and I absolutely do not want to meet again, but the only tricky thing is that we have a meeting coming up and I don't know how to tell him I don't want to see him again. It's more that I'm scared he'll retaliate by writing negative feedback on AW - as in, he'll respond to my most recent feedback of him.

Any suggestions are very welcome x

I'd probably cancel the next booking (unless I really wanted the money), although if it just a half hour or something I'd probably go ahead and just block afterwards. You don't owe him an audience for all the offensive views he knows he'd get a pasting for if he expressed them anywhere else, and nobody with half a brain will care what some bitter arsehole writes on Adultwork.

I sacked one off because he spent most of his time whinging about other SPs (including talking about where they worked) and I knew fine well he'd be doing the same about me when he was round at theirs. They're best politely and quietly dropped, then forgotten about :)

How disappointing and I've experience of this or similar. What I did and still do is just say you can't do the day/time they want and if they try to do another advanced booking just respond with whatever suits you and sounds plausible. He may get the hint or get bored and stop asking.

As for him writing a bad review I can't advise there sorry.  Telling him his attitude and comments disgust you is unwise though imo.

He talks shyte about other providers because based on his nasty behaviour he's probably been blocked by them too, just tell him you're not compatible I'm so sorry and good luck with all. You owe him nothing.

You don't owe him any explanations or reasons.
I've culled a few regulars recently and have just said that "I won't take any further bookings from you, please do not contact me again."
I prefer to spell it out so they don't keep trying, or worse still, get a new number and then get to the door!

Thanks everyone.

My concern is that he will become vindictive and write a negative AW review/ feedback response. Is it possible for him to do this despite the fact that the booking was around 6 weeks ago? I'm not sure how the 'responding to feedback' function works and whether this is also capped to 4 weeks' post booking?

Exactly! Some of these arseholes are so entitled that they are convinced the reason I'm not replying is that there's an issue with my phone, rather than their unbearable behaviour.
One particularly infuriating cretin even sent me a "Welfare Check" email.

I was always on the understanding that after the exact date a month later has passed you could delete but if he's not written you a feedback by now maybe he won't.  Other ladies could clarify too on this one. Many of us don't respond incase  bad feedback is left so we can then leave our own feedback. Had you scheduled or confirmed that booking on the system ?

Your comment reads awfully like you’re advocating theft. I’m sure that’s not what you actually intended.
