How To Deal With Suspicious Behavior
« on: 10 December 2012, 04:10:44 pm »
After a client phoned for details giving him an area not my home address. He immediately said my street for the first time this has happened to me. He plans to book soon. The question is would some thing like this be off putting to other escorts?. I'm in two frames of mind at the moment. Any guidance appreciated.

Most times we would treat these guys with the contempt they deserve.  As pickings are slow for many at present it might be wise to step carefully keeping yourself two steps in front of this guy but giving him the benefit of the doubt until ................................

If these guys cant understand our need for security they aint worth bothering about.

I'm afraid I operate on a 'Zero tolerance' basis. If one single tiny thing bothers me then I refuse the booking.

Yes, even when I'm skint.
Yes, even when I'm really, really, totally skint.

I think this guy side stepped you with naming your street, probably just a guess if you havent given it out before.  Maybe he could be someone you saw previously and only took booking via phone.  Because he side stepped you it has set off your spidey senses but until he phones again I wouldnt worry.  He may not call back.  Just keep a note of his number in your phone.

I tend not to give second chances but as this guy up to now really hasnt done anything wrong there is no need to use a "zero tolerance" ticket on him.  Im all for safety too but I think that is like putting the cart before the horse.

I would say definitely go with your gut.

But I do want to ask: did you give a postcode too? Because if I did incalls at home and gave out any one of SIX postcodes (all 7 digits) it would pin me down to one specific road - which isn't more than a couple of 100 yards long!

If you gave just a vague area - such as "Clapham Common" and he said "oh yes, Cedars Road?" (check this up on the map, you'll see what I mean) then he's either 1) really good at guessing, 2) an old client who wants to pretend he's new (for some reason), 3) a friend of an old client that's not very good at pretending he got your details from a friend, or 4) psychic.

I know now that was over reacting really but here I need to be on my guard as the groups still run. So any thing dodgy I always have to do a risk assessment in my head. But now after banking a lot more frequently puts me at ease.

I think maybe he was just guessing?

When I worked in a residential area many asked is it on/near such-a-such road as I didn't give out my address and I didn't treat their asking as particularly worrisome*. I wouldn't treat the specific query as suspicious, but obviously if he made your escort spidey senses tingle then do think carefully.

*If they kept pestering for a specific road/flat number/location that would make me uncomfortable though.

Yes a known street next to where I said.

I give my post code on rare occasions, usually only a land mark near me in a different area. But now am thinking to give a further street name away.
