How to avoid splitting condoms
« on: 20 February 2016, 10:45:00 pm »
Hi,
I have been working for about 6 months. I love this job but having issues with condoms splitting even with lube.
It has happened to me about 10 times since I started working.
I use Durex extra safe so you wouldn't think it an issue!

Thank you,
Maya

Hi, from reading threads on here about this problem I have noticed alot of people saying they had this problem more with durex than any other make.

That's funny considering how pricey they are!
Interesting thanks

Never use durex condoms!

i've had two splits both times i used durex and I didnt realise the correlation until later on

For some reason they are made to split. Pasante condoms don't have this problem.

Dont let them pound you into oblivion.

Mates Skyns. Fantastic never split on me in 3/4 years of using them. I use them due to a latex allergy but would recommend them to anyone.

Had problems with durex too, but even so 10 times in 6 months is excessive.

The biggest thing to cause splitting is using the wrong size, make sure you have some small (trim) and large ones to hand as well as regular.

Watch where you store condoms. Keep away from direct heat and sunshine.

Do you give oral with the same condom, could be teeth?

Make sure your lube isn't oil based.

Roll condom on the correct way (I've done this wrong a couple of times with bad results!)

Recommend Mates Skyns (non-latex) never had an issue with them.

I'd disagree about the sizing; I would say the thing most likely to make them split is not squeezing all the air out of the tip properly so they'll burst, followed by not enough lube, especially if they've been banging away for ages.

I'd agree Durex are prone to splitting - I haven't used them for as long as I can remember. I use Skyns, but I've found all the Mates ones pretty reliable.

I would be looking at how they're used and whether they're genuine. Clearly some thing's wrong.

Do you give oral with the same condom, could be teeth?

Or lipstick (almost always oil-based...)

I use Trojan Latex BareSkin. I've slipped them on so fast a few clients didn't think they were wearing something. I've noticed the only time I've had a break (and that's very rare) it's because I was dry and I didn't add lube. Now I ALWAYS all lube no matter what. And not spit. Spit doesn't work with protection. I also don't let the man stretch it down tight. That will cause it to break also. Change brands and experiment with what works best. Water based lube is best. If I ever have an accident, I make sure to write down the client, the date, time, and reason for the break for next time I get tested.

Yep, what everyone else has said: use Pasante, Mates/Skyns or Skins, and have a few larger ones in stock (it's surprising how 'small' some men are who need an XL condom - sometimes it's more about shape than length or girth).

Only you will know if you need to use lube, but obviously do so if necessary, and don't be afraid to top up if he lasts a long time.

Sometimes if the sex has gone on for 15-20m, I use a change in position as an opportunity to change the condom, as sometimes they can dry out.

I have a batch of Durex I am wading through - never again!

Back to Mates or Passante for me.

Condoms are all required to meet standards and Durant is a major brand. I would say that it's something you're doing.

Always put the condom on them, don't let them do it. Roll the condom down, don't stretch it open and pull it over like a bag (something I've noticed men will do if you let them.) pinch the air out of the tip before rolling it down fully.  You sound smart enough to know that oil is a no no, but I have seen at least one other escort post on here that they use Vaseline.

Never double bag. Some clients want to, so I have to explain that it's less safe than a single condom.

Like others have said, make sure the fit is correct.

And don't let them pound you dry.

I just hope that Passante have come up with a better non latex version than a few years ago. They were dire.

I'm another who find Durex inferior they may all be tested, but that's on machines not humans. And of course the best stress testers are humans!

But yes it's always worth looking at what you are doing (or not doing) as well.

Oh god the Durex thing again!

Yup, another one here who quickly learned (in civilian life) that these things are absolutely pointless!

Never had a problem with any other brand like the dodgy durexes!

Hi. I've been working for more than 3 years and never had condoms to split. I've used them in my private life for 7 years before escorting, and never had accidents either (I was actively using them).

Mostly I have used Durex. I have used Passante, but my favourite would be Mates Skyn. I use quite a lot of lube, even if I think I don't need it too much. If sex is active and for a long time I change them a few times. I check them regularly. Take all the air out of it before putting it on. Just being ultra careful with them. So far it really worked.

P.S but I had 4 times condoms slipping off. That happened with 2 guys only (2 times each ). As they were banging away like there is no tomorrow. I was holding condom in their place, but those guys were way too active and condom came off...... :o
