Special Weekend Rates

As weekends tend to be rather quiet for me, I have been thinking about doing a special weekend rate on one of the sites I get the most work from.
Has anyone else ever done a reduced rate for weekend bookings? If so, how did it go?

The only problem you might get is when you put price back up to for the week days
It can also get guys taking the piss over bargening.to lower the prices
It's good to do it on a tour away from home though   :)

I think as Sugar says the trouble is you then get clients asking why you can't do that rate all week. I'd either stick to your current rates and advertise more (or look at e.g. the tone/content of your advertising) or reduced your rates slightly overall.

When I do an offer I get this 4 week delay. I remove it off then 4 weeks later they ask if the offer's still on...???
It's like last day of a tour, they all ring at 8.00 on the last night.

I change my rate at weekends. In the city of London I’m higher then move to more residential place at weekends. I simply tell them the city hotels are much lore expensive. Because I change areas I doubt the city clients even look at my profile over the weekenf as most are at home with family. Never had a problem with it.

I’m based in London and have a fixed incall location. Was thinking of putting the details of the offer up on Friday evening, then removing them on Sunday evening.

If / When I do specials I put them up on the days I do them and remove when I’m not doing

I have a £20 off rate during weekday daytimes that doesn't apply on Saturdays, and I don't remove it/put it back every week or have any problems with people getting the difference confused - you can always be sure to go over the price along with the booking time/duration when they call to be on the safe side? I suppose it depends partly on where you advertise and how hard-of-thinking your customers tend to be, but I don't think I've had anybody cock it up more than maybe twice in nearly five years :).

Yep I know some like yourself do manage this without issues, I probably needed to have mentioned price with every booking enquiry.

One who got it wrong was a repeat booker who paid at the end....................yeah, didn't pay at the end after that (his own decision!).

I used to do this, it's a valid marketing technique almost all businesses use for slower times. Think happy hour in bars, or two for one main courses Mon - Wed. People who can't normally afford your rates will jump at the chance to see you at reduced rate. I found the clients who wanted to pay less took the weekend booking which meant I freed up full price time during the week, it worked well for me. Now I am rarely around at the weekend to offer it but definitely go for it.

Hmmm not what I experienced when I ran special offers, rarely got many extra enquiries those that did were umm and ahhers, who then asked for that rate at an outside of offer date. They never booked.

I find most of the people who book me, do so for times which suit them. The only instances that changed were when I could only offer set times, then they either made the other times possible or didn't book.

Depends what you do INCALLS or OUTCALLS?

Incalls, day work while people are in town for work, for business and can pop in during their luch time or other break or after / before work. They pay less, they stay short. Incall is 80-120 will they shag once? sometimes more..

Outcalls, night work and weekends but still night. They pay more, you stay longer, you are paid more. Outcall is 300-800. They shag once in 95% of time.

Now adjust your advert to this.
- make cheaper incall ad for day time work
- have high end ad for for night and weekend outcall clients
or choose one option, because how long you can do day and night work? One day your health will say stop. It's very hard to work day time and night time.

count incall incoming cash and cost of flat or hotels
count outcall incoming cash and cost of taxi car or driver

For me incall was giving 1k or even 0k because of flat cost. To make more incall money I would have to work more and be more tired for my high end night outcalls.. rubbish
Now decided to do outcall only! It gives me 5-6k/mo sometimes 8-9
