Well worth getting some pictures done as the credits you receive can be used to pay for your 'available today' status. If you mention in the heading of your profile that you have added new pics, then for the first few days, you will draw more men in to look at your profile, which can lead to bookings. Also, some regulars will always buy your photos. I have never needed to upload funds from my bank to pay for my telephone number to appear in profile also, as all money comes from sale of pics.
