Being a courtesean means being educated, business savvy, a performing artists and a top of the line high class and prestigious sex worker. Some of them also incorporated worshiping a goddess and magic in their practice. Most of their sex practices were tantra and kama sutra. This profession orginated in Bombay, India in the sixteenth century. It is now obsolete there. Most modern courteseans are simply women hired to keep men company or women who work with the goddess and tantra and/or kama sutra. Doing the original work would make me happier than anything else in the world. How do I start and where?

and your point is..........  ah you want to be one of those ladies that simply hired as arm candy and occasionally bestows a fuck on the punter if he is lucky.
Well good luck with that.   Sadly with website like plenty of fish and match.com most punters  can find women for free shags and those that cant .....  well that's what paid for sex is for

However if being a courtesan is really what you want to be then i would suggest to follow Amy's suggestion that at the very least you learn to spell the words that you aspire to be.      Nothing wrong with having crap spelling and grammar,  however if one aspire's to to be in the upper classes of escorting and selling ones body for money ( can i say money as it pretty vulgar word in the high class circle's)   then good spelling along with excellent blow job skills and the acting skill of Cameron Diaz and Julia Robert rolled into one is a plus  while of
course  translating original latin is a must for the modern Courtesan of 2013

However as i struggle with plain old English language    I think  I will stick with being a plain old common whore for hire by the hour  as its much easier  and at  least i don't need to brush up on my schoolgirl Latin which was pretty bad in when i first studied it.

I think Wikipedia's been busy again.

Chiara, you have started a fairly considerable number of threads all roughly about the same thing, namely how to go about getting started as a sex worker which is entirely reasonable as that is what this forum is for. What is starting to become unreasonable is ignoring the answers you are given about reading up and coming back with specific questions when you've more idea of what it is you want to do, but even this is OK and your prerogative.

What is not OK is then continuing to start more vague threads about the same thing plus other subjects which are not on topic for the forum. If you want to start working, we'll do all we can to help with the practical things you need to consider but we're not here to make the decision for you, and we can't keep going round in circles.

Where are you based (roughly)? How do you think you want to work? When do you want to start, and how long do you think you want to keep working for? What's the average rate/competition like where you are? Where do you want to advertise? What will you do about screening/security? This is all the sort of stuff we can help with - the thread starter here is not.

I only use Wiki  when i want to cheat at pub quizzes  - brilliant for cheating at pub quizzes

SOME would say that the Duchess of Cornwall (as she's now known) was the ultimate modern-day definition of 'courtesan'.

what is Courtesan or so, means the art that was performing in 100 years ago when paid sex was even near the churches and the whores had their own houses, and were very posh in the society, treated with the same respect as today the politician. I recommend reading The history of prostitution. Those days you can also has rescpect and well paid clients but I doubt you would be in the same rescpect as politicians and so stars. It has been puted down due to hiv, right before the swinger area ended. Then it become obvious that because of the hiv is better to have one partner. Courtesan was performing classy art, acting, singing, then fucking the men. They were very rich and the politicians loved to be showing with them in newspapers. It was very diffrent than now. It was very normal and common but they have the social like a stars, good ones of course. You had also normal hookers, but sex was often puted together with art and acting.

Today not so much possible. If you shag a politian it might be a scandla for him, in the time of courtesan it was a normal thing. Whe the hiv came out, people got crazy and rushed into one partner and put down the rest who shag also strangers. Propably in few years the hiv will be healed completly, or to my knowledge there will be soon vacination for it so it will start all over again, so couting over 10-15 years when the whore will be again apriciated in sociaty like before. Some, but slowly are now promoted by the stars clothing  fashion. Have you heared over the French prostitute that makes also her own clothing line? And others that are on the list of the most expensive prossies on the planet? There you go...
He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.

When I think of a courtesan she is a woman who already mixes in upper class circles she never has to advertise as she has "connections" she's had a private education in Europe and went finishing school, she is well travelled and speaks many languages fluently. She is well travelled and can talk on any subject. She's seen at all the best places and nobody suspects what she really is..lol

When I think of this thread, I hoped it was dead and buried with a stake through its heart at a crossroads at midnight :)

When I hear 'premium', I think 'expensive', because that's what it is marketing speak for. Many people think it means 'better', which is why you see lots of products labelled 'premium' that - gosh - just happen to cost more.

There are a variety of ways of marketing prostitution. Everyone needs to do what's best for them. Calling yourself a 'courtesan' is just one of them. Some potential clients will think that's great, others will think it's pretentious crap. If it works for you, yippee, if it doesn't, try something else.

Locked.
