I have a SAD lamp and it's a godsend. Mine is called LitePod. You just plug it in and switch it on for half hour when you first wake up. Definitely makes a difference in the winter.

I'm another advocate for the slob out method and firmly against the alcohol solution because booze is a depressant, which is why most people end up needing it every day once they start 'winding down' with it after work. It's a short term solution and doesn't last long.

Personally all I want to do after work is stuff my face with more food than a human body can handle and then cuddle up with my hubby in my PJ's in front of Netflix. Chocolate and cuddles go a long way when I've had a hard day at the office.

My number one rule is that my work phone is turned off if I am not working and I'm not allowed to look at it until my next shift starts. I used to obsess over answering regulars etc. during my personal time but nowadays I stress a lot less because I've set hours I am happy with and stick to them.

Definitely a bath with candles and music is my best way of unwinding.
Nice healthy food
Hot chocolate
Internet shopping :-[

I don't drink alcohol on my own as I find it a waste of time and money, I'd much rather have something to eat.
