Everyone knows!
« on: 30 August 2011, 03:08:57 pm »
Hi dolls,

So I found out last night that everyone in my former place of work knows what I  do for a living. Including my ex bf's new gf. :|

I'm still pretty close with all the people that work there, so I am furious that they've found out. I knew I had to be careful who I told, I just never thought it would spread this quick.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? How did you deal with it?

Two options: if you don't have identifiable pictures etc, you can deny it, or you can go 'yeah, so what?'
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

But the question is:" how did they know it?"
... if someone has something to complain, first of all it should be explained why he/she has visited an escort site and it's quite embarassing

Well..depends on "how" did they find out (?)  You bumped into a client who was a friend of a friend? Or you told a girlfriend?
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.

I live in a small village and this happened to me.  One of the guys who I know quite well saw me on AW.  He rang to ask what I was doing being an escort (after he had told everyone in the village club) so I asked him why was he looking for escorts.

Next time I walked into the club there were alot of people staring and whispering (I felt like dying inside) So I stood up and asked if anyone had a problem with the fact that I work as I do considering I unlike some of them do not claim benefits and work for a living earning more a month than they probably see all year.  Next thing I know 3 women were asking how safe it was as they were thinking of doing it and I ended up with 5 regulars as well :)

If people are friends they will understand or at least support you and if they dont they they really are not friends anyway.  Who needs friends who judge us
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

This also happened to me  :-\ It made me feel sick at first, and then I realised that I have nothing to be ashamed of. You work hard and should be proud of yourself. Don't let people get you down.

:-*   Bravo, I'm impressed, this has just happened to me and it is really hard to deal with.  The problem I have is my kids don't know and as they are getting older, I am now getting calls from my son's friends (he is 20) its so difficult to screen all the time.  Plus the looks and I lost my best friend of 20 years over it.  Now my recent blackmail/ threatening emails is causing me so much stress.  For the first time I am thinking about giving it up but I really don't want to.  Part of me also thinks too late anyway?

oh my god....i am so sorry to say the next thing to you....but your son's friends are calling you up????? oh my god! you know i just quit the biz last month, and one of the main reasons is my son is now in his teens, and i didnt want the scenario you are talking about to ever happen. You know that this sort of thing can really mess him up bad psychologically as well as just being mortifying for him! Please please reconsider how your actions, (now that you've been found out) will impact on your kids....I am NOT saying you have anything to be ashamed about, but unfortunately society being as it is does have a bad viewpoint of it....if you are determined to continue doing escorting, maybe consider moving out of your small town, where the likelihood of being called up by his friends is minimised.

When i thought about the scenario of my son finding out what i do, or his friends calling me up, or meeting me, and then it going around his school and him being publicly humiliated, as well as privately embarrassed, it just tore me up inside....i knew we would have to move him out of his school, move out of the neighbourhood, move move move and he would not forgive me for i dont know how many years,....probably need counselling and be royally f***ed up

Please know that i do not have a moral judgement against escorting,  (obviously as i used to do it quite happily for 5 years)....as you know we live in a society that judges 'us' harshly and with contempt and other nasty adjectives...

please think about moving your biz out of the small town for the good of your kids as well as less stress for you....

The strange thing is I don't work where I live but about 15 miles away, someone locally has put 2 and 2 together and spread the word.  Unfortunately.  There is an element that even now if I delete everything, the rumours are around and so on.  Its a nightmare situation.  Problem with having children, thank God my youngest only has 2 more years to go at school.
