HotEscortWebsiteDesign.com - scam?
« on: 13 August 2011, 11:51:06 am »
Hi all

I found this site www.HotEscortWebsiteDesign.com and the websites they design look amazing, however the owner is uncontactable by phone and wants a 50% deposit up front.  It also looks like all the client websites for indys are actually the same girl.

Do you think its a scam?

Why dont you use Moonfruit and set up a free site rather than taking a chance?
I am not selling sex! I'm selling condoms with free demonstration!

Also, from what I can see, her independent escort websites don't come with a CMS*. So... she might expect you to pay her if you want your site to be updated with news (tours, rates/services change, etc) - which could be a bit expensive?

(*A CMS is a Content Management System - it allows you to log in to your website and make changes to the content, such as updating an availability calendar, changing your services, writing in a blog, and so on. CMS's are available that are free, so don't listen to a web designer who tells you you need to pay hundreds for one - you can pay if you like, but you can also choose some very good free options. Very few websites these days are made without a CMS so they are very recommended. Moonfruit is based on one, of course, because that's how you log in and update your site.)

Although any business has a right to ask for some money up front I probably would say avoid. I had an online store and paid a company to design it for me and they still had a basic look worked out before I paid a penny so I wouldnt expect to pay anything without seeing what they could do.

I would agree there's no harm giving it ago yourself first.

I have found out that person is making those flash based sites on Moonfruit. I have a similar site to one of the sites she designed for a client. I believe she is from the States not from London. That is probably why she doesn't take phonecalls. It's not a scam, as a girl on here had her site made by Ella @ hot escort website design. She has done a good job by being creative and techy creating stylish websites. But anyone can do that if you have a creative flare.

She runs a escort agency called Dubai International agy but only has email on there  no phone number. It is CMS based as wellx
