I have to visit Liverpool in a couple of weeks time for personal stuff and I'd like to tag on a couple of days hotel work to my trip. It's always profitable to be a new face in town! However, I have never visited the city before so I'm looking for hotel recommendations that are good to work from.
I'm trans and quite tall. I need a place we're clients can access the rooms (ie use the lift) without a key card or engaging with reception. As going down to the hotel bar to meet clients can attract unwanted attention from staff and some of my clients can be very nervous. It's just simpler and safer for me to keep everything behind the bedroom door. Ideally I need a hotel with enough traffic through the lobby that there's plenty of coming and goings so my visitors won't stand out (so not a small b and b or boutique place).
Does anyone know hotels in the city well enough doesn't make a suggestion? Ideally somewhere with parking nearby and decent public transport links. I often use [hotel names removed] but some of their renovated city centre properties now need key cards to get past reception and make the lifts work.
If I can't get certainty on access to the room I'll probably use [serviced apartment] but I personally feel safer in a hotel.
Thanks and advance. I really need certainly on this before I book anywhere.
