By sheer chance, I stumbled across a website that allows you to book hotels for the day called "between 9 and 5 . Com " and found a thread from a few years ago relating to this.
Has anyone had any recent experience of booking a hotel room just for the day to see clients i.e. From say 10-5pm?
It looks on paper the perfect option for me - no flat for in calls I can use - but I'd rather check with you ladies to hear your experiences if you've done it yourself?

My client mentioned several times that he's been renting rooms by the hour at London Heathrow and keeps telling me to do the same. I've just had a look at a website daysuse.co.uk and they've got some pretty good deals as well as options regarding time slots i.e 9 am - 3 pm and 10 am to 6 pm.
There seem to be quite a few popular hotel chains that charge anywhere from ?40 upwards for these time slots.
My life is pretty sporadic so I can't always book hotels in advance even though it's the cheaper option .
I think it's a great idea for short notice bookings or If you only prefer to see one client a day
Or like me prefer the warmth of your own bed. :) Well JustJennifer i'm gonna give it a try this week and let you know.

That would be great FP - interesting to hear your thoughts :)
Unfortunately my warm cosy bed will just need to wait till I get home if I go ahead ;D

Depending on the price heathrow is one of the few places that you can normally guarantee a early check in due to it being airport hotels rooms being free / availible isn't a problem

Good to know, Paris.
In Glasgow, when I searched there wasn't any hotels at the airport but city Centre and a listing for Edinburgh..
Didn't expect to see either of them there to be honest!
