Hold ups...
« on: 28 June 2013, 09:07:34 pm »
Just a quick question to stop me flapping. Do you always have to wear hold ups? Ive got a booking in an hour and 2 pairs of mine have literally just laddered and the only ones i have just keep falling down. Is it unprofessional not to wear them? Its for an in call x

I don't ever wear them, and when clients ask I just tell them I don't own any (which I don't) because I'm either always at uni or gym or out with friends. I think it's unprofessional not to be dressed sexily and tastefully (unless your working the chav angle), I wear a little black dress with an underwear set underneath for incalls and then just a casual but flattering outfit for outcalls, not wearing hold-up's or stockings has never really bothered any clients apart from 1 or 2 fusspots.

Do you mean instead of stocking and suspenders?

I always wear stockings and suspenders unless told otherwise because it's a piece of lingerie most popular with most clients, and I have enough in stock in various colours and styles that I always have an alternative.

If however it's very hot and a guy hasn't specifically request S&S I may then chose a summery dress, strappy heels and bare legs but it's rarely that hot in the northwest!

I had an outcall to London yesterday and didnt want to spend most of the day on a train wearing stockings/ holdups so I asked the client if they wanted me to wear them or if bare legs was ok. Luckily the guy was really nice and said bare legs were fine as long I was comfortable.

Of course if you really dont want to wear them then don't.

I think it depends on the colour of your skin.  My skin is very very pale and would look ridiculous with no stockings but Im like Strawberry I always wear stocking or some kind.  Either hold ups or stockings and suspenders.

I always wear hold ups. For me is standard practice to receive a client wearing them.  I hate suspenders and stockings. I still cannot figure out how to attach the stockings to the suspender in a way it wont fell off. Hold ups are much much easier and comfortable.

My legs are whiter than Caspers (the friendly ghost) and I have cankles. I proably look ridiculous in my bare legs but I don't care.

I like the look of stockings and suspender belts and hold-ups but I don't like wearing them.
I do sometimes wear them but I prefer bare legs or tights. I have very pale skin which I adore and love bare legs and showing them off.
I thought women didn't like tights a lot not bare legs?? I guess it's just a matter of opinion though
Like the other ladies have said if you don't want to wear them don't unless they are asked for. xx

I think it's the older guys who like the stockings and sussies as it takes them back to their youth.

Stockings make me feel like a minx  ;D I try to not be without them

I like wearing them as I do not wear them in my private life and as soon as I put them on I am in 'minx mode'.

I have tried every pair of hold ups I can get my hands on and as I have long legs that has mainly been as the length has not been good enough. I have found H&M's are lovely and long (?4.95 lace top) and I often wear them as stockings (though their stockings at ?1.95 plain top are brilliant too). The toes are super reinforced and they rarely snag and run, you just get a little snag. I also find it easy if you buy the same ones all the time as you can pair them up. Before I was getting 2 jobs out of a pair, these last 5 or 6 it seems, plus more from pairing up.

During the day I am now opting for the natural ones, with a light coloured lingerie set, summer dress and closed toe shoes. Even when it hit 25 degrees the other week they were not killer hot.

I tend to get a lot of clients in their 50's , they seem to love the hold-ups and dressing like a lady, so tend to just keep my outfits similar.

BUT even if hold-ups or stockings and suspenders are popular, if you do not like them, then do not wear them, except maybe upon requests. There is nothing worse than not feeling comfortable.

Marks & Spencers are the best ones ( imo)  as they don't ladder ( you get a hole but they don't ladder - unless your really rough with them )

I agree, I've been loving m&s recently. Would like to try a more pricy range one day but its prob not even worth it lol.
