What can you claim tax-wise back?
« on: 09 July 2014, 11:48:37 pm »
Hiya girls,

Can you claim for clothes/underwear etc? I've been shopping today and kept all the receipts.

Also can you claim for adult work advertising and website etc?

I think I pay at least ?40 a week on AW and advertising.

Thank you

xx

You can only claim for clothes used for work ie lingerie, fantasy costumes.

Yes all escort advertising can be put against your tax. Other expenses to be claimed are hotels (if you use them for incalls), work toil tires, condoms, sex toys, Travelling such as train fares.

I also claim for my car expenses such as fuel, car repairs and even the initial cost of the car. I use the car 75% for work so i an claim 75% of the cost of fuel, car repairs etc

I would advise you get an accountant as for a few hundred pounds they can literally save you thousands!

Thanks,

Whilst most accountants will agree on the majority of what you can/cannot claim, some do have different opinions.

Mine advises me that I cannot claim for car expenses but I can claim mileage so it's so many pence per mile for outcalls.

You can also claim a proportion of your rental for work, I think it may be 25% of your rent.  Before I had my own incall flat, I think I could claim something like 25% of my home mortgage, utility etc.

An accountant will advise you accordingly.

What everybody else said, but do have a look at TaxRelief4Escorts in the meantime; Jolyon also wrote the Tax article on the main site and there's some accountants advertising there too :).

As far as I'm aware you can't claim for anything you can use outside work so normal clothes and underwear are exempt but you can claim if you have to buy work specific clothes such as overalls or steel toe capped boots etc.
