Hi Bunny and all!
Re: working from home
For financial reasons, I currently work from home (well only weekdays when my child is at school!!!) and like Brandy said - i certainly dont have numbers going in and out of my door, and therefore am also always keen to do outcalls!
My rates are the same for incalls and outcalls - so therefore there is no incentive for the guy to choose incall if he can accomodate!
I ensure that my clients park in a pay and display car park on the other side of the road, so no parking outside my block and if, like me, you live in a block, then people would not necessarily know who the person is going to visit.
I do, however, have entryphone which is so damn loud but like I said, as the traffic is limited I dont see this as a problem. - I do know of someone who even put tape and something over her entryphone to try to muffle the sound a little as the damn things are so loud !!!
A few of the people here know I "work from home" and I have led them to believe I do work in a professional business capacity so the men who come here could in fact be related to my work as an IT consultant (thats what the few people I spoke to think I do! LOL).
I do sometimes worry about neighbours noticing (especially if I am being a bit noisy!!! LOL) but then my clients are discreet and respectful so I dont think about it too much.
I also ensure that I am waiting by my door as soon as I have buzzed them in, so as soon as I see the guy through my peephole, I open the door and he comes in quietly.. .............
I also play music (not too loud) so again ensure no explicit sound could be heard in the corridor outside my flat!!!!
Maybe i am too careful, having read the above, but this makes me feel reassured!!!
Hope some of this helps you. Please feel free to ask again and I will answer what I can!!!
love
Nell xx
P.S - and of course I do give them full and detailed directions of how to get to my block beforehand and when I buzz them in they are told which floor to get to in the lift and to turn right out of the lift - so they are well informed to avoid getting lost. xxx
