Has anyone heard of European Escorts Agency
« on: 05 August 2008, 03:56:04 pm »
Was browsing and found this site - has anyone heard of this agency?  They say they're part of Blue Media Ltd.

Cheers

"Booming trend for male escorts", earn thousands of pounds a week regardless of age, gender or looks, log in required to see the escorts on offer.

It's a scam.

Damn - my friend just registered with them and paid ?325.  They say they've got her a booking for Thursday night which is why they had to take the money for her profile.  I was a bit suspicious but now I'm gonna have to tell her she's lost her money.  And I doubt there's anyway to get it back either.

Hi, I contacted them after seeing their website. Came up in google quite alot. Spoke to a woman called Beth with a Northern accent (doubt it was her real name) on Saturday gone. Explained my situation, how I am out of work and really desperate. She sounded really genuine. I sent her some pics of me. She said I was gorgeous, just what they needed etc.... said I didnt have time to do the profile now. She said she would call me Monday after 3. She called me. We went through my profile. She was so convincing - I am SO GLAD I found this website. I asked her questions about the money side of things, I said what if I pay you and never hear from you again, she said their office was in Harley Street, but didnt elaborate on where and brushed over about me not hearing from them again. Anyway, she said she had given out my pics to a few regulars and a couple were very interested in me. She even had a date lined up with a guy called James who was coming over here from Spain on business. She wanted me to pay the joining fee of ?225 without pic or ?325 with pic tomorrow as James wanted to meet me Wednesday or Thursday.

So glad I found this as I just know now I would be out of pocket.

The woman from the agency rang today - she was ringing to see if I had paid the money in. I told her I couldnt because they wanted cash the bank wouldnt let me take anymore money out. She did a lot of sighing. I said cant you take it out of my first fee. She said no because they needed to have payment 1st for insurance and that. I asked what this insurance involved, she said public safety & damage - as in if I split red wine on me. She said she would call me next week.

I wanted to say to her about this site but thought I gave her too many details about me so best to leave it as if I couldnt afford it.

She's bought an ad only she can see (her 'profile'). The people who did it to her are based in Spain, so getting them isn't easy.

Hi there,

Just saw this thread and wanted to see if I could get any more information on it because I am or was about to join this agency, however, I am in two minds because I don't want to be scammed.

I have been speaking with a woman called Renee and am a bit concerned because, although everything sounds in order, I don't want to be conned out of money that I desperately need. I have looked at this post and having been given the address to deposit the money into, for security, I was able to use the company name to see if it is legit. It looks like it is registered with Companies House, which would mean that it is an official company, and the address details match what has been said here, i.e. SUITE B 29 HARLEY STREET, LONDON, W1G 9QR.

Has anyone actually got past the registering stage and made it to a first date without it being cancelled or anything like that?? Also they mention that they have a taxi service that takes you to and from the meeting.....does anyone know if that is legit as well??

I would greatly appreciate a reply asap.

Thanks

Put it this way

if they were legit, why do they ask for money up front? simple as that really

a decent agency will take a cut of what you earn, take the money up front, they have no reason to find you work

and yes its a legit company, your point there is what? my local garage is a legit company, but his cars are crap, although he will always tell you different :)

While im on my soapbox, let me guess they dont know what you look like, yet have found you work? now you may go around tescos with your eyes shut, but most people like to see what they are paying for, and escorts clients are no different

Complete, utter and total scam.

The address is an accommodation address - pay the owners a few pounds and they'll be the company address for anyone. The company itself hasn't filed any returns or accounts and I bet it never will: the scammers will have moved on to yet more names (a list of other domains they have is here somewhere).

Look at the site from the perspective of a client. Would you pay five hundreds pounds to book someone you can't see first, someone you know nothing about? Try ringing them as a client looking for a male escort - they'll ask you for hundreds of pounds for 'membership'. Real agencies have an interest in getting their staff work, this lot couldn't give a shit and make it as hard as possible. (Impossible, in fact.)

Look at their terms and conditions with the most cynical way (it's the way they were written!):

C - All advertisements placed on European Escorts shall be published on the members section of the website

This means no-one who is not a 'member' can see it. I do not believe members can even see each other's ads - they're asking for hundreds of pounds so that you can advertise to yourself.

F - European Escorts does not accept any liability or responsibility should your advertisement on the online brochure fail to achieve a response.

They say this because they know it will fail to get work. Why should they care? They have your money...

H - The service we provide starts when your advertisement is published on European Escorts therefore, we cannot offer you the right to cancel "cooling-off period".

... which you can't have back.

N - This agreement represents the entire agreement between the two parties, and supersedes all prior undertakings, whether written or oral.

"We can lie to you on the phone". They're very practised at lying, especially to desperate people who want to believe them.

You should believe us because we're not asking you for several hundred pounds and, provided you understand that escorting involves having sex with clients, we can point you at where to find real agencies, ones that don't charge you anything up front.

Hi,

Thanks so much for the replies. It was sounding too good to be true, hence my doing the research prior to making any payments. Now it is just a matter of getting out of it without any problems. Any good lines you would recommend?

Also, do you think they use any details like your name and address etc that you have given them to commit ID fraud? That is what I am primarily worried about when saying I want to get out of this without any trouble.

Another company has offered me a better deal for sod all  :)
I spoke to the booking direct and he said he didnt fancy it
My mate in Nigeria is going to pay it for me, along with a few million dollars he needs to hide

Have you given them any sensitive info like bank details? If not I reckon you should be ok, since you can get names and addresses  from a phone book anyway.

As for lines to get rid of them "Your company name is posted over every escorting forum for been scammers, and I've never heard of one person to get a real booking out of you. I'd rather work for a real agency that maybe offers less per hour, but at least I'd get genuine bookings. Don;t ever contact me again and please destroy all my details you w*nkers/kn*bheads/d*ckheads ". Something like that? lol!

Lol!!

Fortunately I haven't given them any other details other than my name and address. So hopefully it will be okay there. I am quite tempted to mention this publically to expose these things because there are lots of innocent people, who are in need of some cash that would fall for this. Myself included had it not been for the advice of a friend.

Thanks for the ideas and for the help. You saved me from a serious scam. I am much obliged!

 :) :) :)

I told her the bank wouldnt allow me to draw out further money as I was already over drawn.

Say I would like to pop down to the office and get a reciept for my cash for my own security  - say I am only a bus ride away from Harley Street.

Going back to the name and address thing, yeah I am a bit worried about that. She was saying we need your address to send the taxi to take you to the date.

Lets hope because this is one bullshitting scam that she werent even writting these details down as we said them! So will probably never remember them anyway.

I am more concerned I sent her some photos of me "to see if she thought I was any good" I mailed them to her.

Oh and when I said to her I had looked on the net and there was websites saying there was alot of conning going on asking for money up front and never getting the date she told me "theres alot of jealous agencies out there and its typical they would do something like this" when I said the name of your agency had come up again and again with the same story of taking the money and no dates, she said the same thing, jealousy.....

I guess that's their cover story. You're welcome to tell them about this site, I don't mind. SW5's too. It'd be good to let them be aware that their scams are becoming more and more widely exposed. There's nothing on here that's libelous.
