Decent punters do get it.  I only see people who get it.  If not, they can see someone else.

I find responding with humour generally works in my favour.

"How much can I get for ?40?"
"A reasonable meal at Sticks n Sushi if you choose from the menu wisely."
"But for you?"
"A good pair of shoes or two in the sale."

It is often very interesting to read this type of thread. 

There are guys, who are willing to pay what he needs and wants up front.  There are others, who just try to pay the absolute minimum for the hour and even if they kept the "extra cash" for extending inside their pocket, they begrudge paying extra and try to extend as much as he could without making that payment for longer (cash worth about a bare minimum shopping trip at Aldi or Lidl).   Generally speaking, they are putting us in a poorer place (pun intended).  "If I enjoyed" does suggest the similar attitude, from my point of view.

Some really decent punters don't mind being asked if they wanted to extend.  Others might/would take offence even if asked very politely and look at you as if escorts are "so greedy" (this is where my use of "amateurish" punters come from).  The term, "greedy", often used on escorts, who are "trying to get more money" out of punters (as if we are "robbing them")?   This attitude does put me off.
