Title: Hard ton move to civy Street
Post by: Supergirl on 10 June 2021, 06:50:00 pm
I've been thinking for a bit about getting a normal job. I'm mid 40s and have done this for ten years and suppose I should get a normal job while I still have time to progress.

There's not much in my area really despite the fact that I have a degree and a lot of office admin experience. Jobs Ive seen that I'd like to apply for are around the 20/25k mark.

If I work out my take-home pay on about 20 grand it'll be about 330 a week. I can literally make that in two bookings.

I'm not fed up of the job at all, I love having so much free time I don't even work lots of hours just enough to make sure everything is paid and I've got the bit left over and save  a bit.

However I wonder if I'm just going to get stuck with doing this if I carry on for much longer. Hmmm any thoughts anyone?

Working full-time hours for the same I could earn with just two clients is so hard to face.

Can you do both? You would have the peace of mind of a check at the end of the month and organize your bookings around your job.

Can you do agency work that suit your hours ?

Or work part time, so you keep your skills and CV up to date and carry on escorting around that? Best of both worlds.

I was going to say the same - perhaps do an admin job say, Tues-Thurs, then you've still got four days a week to whore in. So long as your civvy days/hours are regular, it should be manageable.

What about somewhere that gives the option to work from home so you have more flexibility for escorting?

I think part time might be the way to go yes. I couldn't do escorting and a full time job I'd be knackered!

Unfortunately can't do agency as I'm very rural - I think my nearest agency is 2 hrs away! I like being indy anyway.

The trouble is going to be finding a part time job that's worth doing round here I reckon!
