There have been a number of threads on this subject, in a nutshell:
taking the pill back to back is said to not be dangerous as the inventors actually introduced the break for psychological effect, so that us silly girlies would feel taking the pill was still part of a natural cycle. Thoughsome people argue against that.
You can go on longterm contraception: 3 monthly injections, implants or IUD, normally they result in your periods stopping all together whilst you take them.
You can use sponges, I think the most widely used one is called a beppy sponge.
There are 'caps' called mooncups, which go over the entrance of your uterus like a diaphram and collect the blood in them, which you can empty out as frequently as you like.
I used to be on the injections and now have an IUD and love it, as I have always hated having periods, but you have to try and see what suites you best. I know between us there are ladies who use each of the methods about , so I'm sure they will tell you why what they use works for them.
