Hello. Is anyone from here working mainly with their own site and not showing phone number anywhere has experience with assistants?
I am only part time escort and I get way too many enquiries, can't deal with all that admin anymore therefore next year I am thinking of getting assistant.
How does it work for you? I don't even know what the costs would be for that in UK. I am talking about 1-2h of time the assistant would spend a week. That would include mainly answering emails and some screening.
What's your experience?
I know it will be very little of escorts who could afford of that but I am interested in your experiences. Thank you.
-
Can't give you any help yet, other than saying that this is an area of work I would like to get into. X
-
Try seeking/offering. I saw an ad ages ago for a lady offering those services. In terms of price, basic office admin doesn't pay a lot (speaking from experience) around £10 an hour. You'd have to be careful making sure the person has experience, knows the tone you use with clients, your services and schedule really well etc.
-
Tried and binned. She was on commission and accepting all the cockroaches going. Auto reply is your friend. These assistants are known to turn nasty when you decide you no longer want them x
-
Nope, I’d never trust anyone else to vet my clients!
I’d suggest putting as much info on your site/profile to stop as many enquires. I keep my availability listed which helps a lot. I got fed up as answering stupid messages like “are you available next Tuesday”
Put in place strict enquiry process. Then if people don’t follow they’re probably not worth your time anyway so you can ignore.
If you’re still getting loads after that, put your prices up! ;D ;D

This is exactly what I do, and it helps a lot. I am still getting a huge amount of enquiries mainly all leading to bookings because there is no messing about with time wasters. I'm considering putting my prices up now too.

That's the thing. I just increased my rates and I am going to increase it again in autumn.
My site doesn't have my email or number, it only has contact form with many tabs to put info on.
I have very many advertisements everywhere therefore basically 90% of enquiries I get are valid and not 'you available'.
I would only need assistant to be quicker with replies because honestly I lost fee bookings recently as I didn't replied in 5 days time to initial message, which meant my client thought I am not interested :/
I want to live my life a bit and I have other commitments besides this job therefore want to minimise admin without loosing clients.
P.s. I still get booked up week in advance. So everything it's just perfect!
-
My experience with this type of people is that they will schedule 50 reservations per day if they can and will not take care of your business.
or simply she will go partying with her friends or have other commitments and will not answer your questions and you will stay like an idiot waiting for reservations because she has not warned you in advance about this.
This has happened to me many times, maybe you have more luck.

If you only need an assistant 1-2 hours a week surely you could find the time to deal with yourself? It must be worth it then risk all the pitfalls with getting someone else involved in your business. I also can't believe you are so busy that you don't reply to clients for 5 days! I'm afraid a lot of clients will want a booking within that timescale and certainly a response. It only takes a minute to read emails and respond, when I am busy sometimes it's a matter of doing on the loo, in the bath and on the bus. The joy of mobile phones is that we can deal with admin almost anywhere!
Also if you only have an assistant 1 -2 hours a week then emails still may well be unopened for a few days?
If you only have emails to deal with rather than calls could you not have an auto reply and state that you will get back to them within 24 hours and that you need X amount of notice for a booking so potential clients know the case up front.
-
+1 on what Banshee says, plus as others have commented no way would I want anyone else to screen my clients for me.
Why not just put aside 30 minutes every other day to go through and reply to messages?
-
I also wonder if you don’t have time to deal with enquires surely you wouldn’t have time for an actual booking. Which tells me you probably don’t enjoy replying to enquires and just see it as a burden, which it can be! But if you are just feeling under pressure and like you can’t do everything, maybe you just need to have a little reorganise. Perhaps plan your days better. Set aside 30 mins in the morning and afternoon to deal with replies. (I usually do 30 mins in the morning while I have my coffee and then 30 mins in the evening if needed).
It can seem overwhelming sometimes but I would really recommend trying to manage it yourself as it’s your safety at the end of the day. If someone else books an asshole in, you will feel angry towards them for letting them through the net.
If you are busy with overall life maybe you could get an assistant for other areas such as housework.. but that’s going completely off topic... you get my gist
-
I said I would never get one again, but with kids, needy family, limited working hours and days and other appointments, I literally have NO time whatsoever to spend answering phones and replying to texts and emails.
The lady who does my admin has been working in the industry for years (ex escort) and puts ads all over reputable sites and I write all my own info.
Keeps all bookings on a spreadsheet so she can keep track and let me know if and when I have seen clients before, and blacklists anyone I feel needs to be.
Always logs into aw and updates pictures and info accordingly and screens clients to my preference. I.e over 35, has read profile, respects my likes list etc.
I am pretty much always fully booked in advance for my working days now.
She takes a very small percentage of each booking eg 15 pound from my hourly fee, 10 from half hour. Suits me fine and less headache from time wasters.
I've been lucky finding her. Some experiences with assistants have been horrific.

sorry what? My clients book me for 1-3h at the time usually and I work 3 full days a week, basically I do not have a day where I wouldn't be fully booked when I do work. Also I take occasional outcalls a week (1-2 max) and when I do incall days I do not really answer emails because it's too much.
Also as I said I want to just spend more time for myself, believe I'm saying it now after 2-3 years of working this job when doing 10h a week admin work (putting ads, working on my site, working on seo, answering emails, etc.) each week for the past 2-3 years. Having serious fatigue problems because of that.
-
What I was trying to say is how can you feel as though you don’t have enough time each day to answer enquires but do have time for bookings, if enquires take 30 minutes here and there each day.

If you’re really spending 10h a week on admin, are booked a week in advance, seem busy enough, do you really need to be spending so much time on ads, website, seo etc? Maybe you’re doing too much and in turn you are receiving too many enquires that you cant cope with or even need.
I’m just looking from the outside in, in a business management sense. It seems as though you don’t have the balance quite right.
I’m very busy. I hoe 6 days a week, have an office job 3 days a week, assist my OH on the running of his business, have a life to live outside of all of that, etc etc. We are all very busy and sometimes we just need to organise effectively. I would be using the incall days, in between clients, to get admin done. Seems a waste of time to be sat in a room doing nothing productive.
But I do understand where you’re coming from. Sometimes it is all too much and seems like there is 100 things on the to do list that never ends. I’ve felt like this too and I’ve realised that I need to restructure how I do things.
I just wouldn’t want you gettin an assistant to deal with your enquires or book clients in for you to then up in a sticky situation due to someone else not vetting your client correctly. It’s your safety. You can’t put a price on that!
Maybe see if you can re-jiggle a few things in order for you to have enough time for admin

I can completely understand how she has time for bookings and less time for admin. Although if she spent less time on admin, she would lose bookings therefore, would make sense getting some help.
Unfortunately not all of us are superwomen! With my fatigue, mental health and general anxiety, juggling all that would cause me to have a mental breakdown.
I drop my kids at school for 8.40, commute to accommodation(via 2 buses) to get ready and start work at 9.30/9.50, do bookings with a gap in between to freshen up and eat, then finish at 2.30 to commute back to kids for 3.10, then an evening full of cooking cleaning and doing bed time. Then by the time its 9pm, im in bed and the last thing I want to do is answer emails and update profiles.
We all have different thresholds and commitments.
Like you said, safety is key, but if you can find someone trustworthy and reliable, it can work.

Can we please stay on topic and please people don't comment who had never had anything assistants?
My question for this thread wasn't for random thoughts. Thank you
-
I'd hardly say our comments were "random" and most of us never have/would use an assistant.

That, my dear Kay, must certainly be because we can’t afford one 😂😂😂
(I’m quoting here the last 2 lines of the OP’s original post).

I employed a personal assistant she was based with me in the flat on working hours. She was a professional SW freelance assistant or receptionist who worked for girls in the area for years so was well known and trusted. Mostly she was very good it took the strain of vetting from me. She'd also make tea, snacks and clean.(She was my wife!) Later I sacked her as she became argumentative. Non of the dispute was about how she handled clients she was fine with screening. We had set rules. (I know you don't want someone in your place but thought I'd chip in. She was dealing only with phone calls as I don't use email bookings.) I paid £50 a day. I don't know how much someone would charge doing it from home.
-
I wouldn’t trust anyone with my Bookings
I want to know who is coming through my door
And I don’t think anyone can screen my clients as well ac I can
I get virtually no no shows at all
Last NS one was over 6 months ago
So I wouldn’t be trusting my income and in many ways my safety with another person

I could certainly afford one but I don’t need one 😂 and I still have plenty of time if I’m not touring and only working at at my flat to enjoy my life go out have with friends and family and have holidays
You just make the time or rather I do

Jokes apart yes I think most of us agree on screening personally each and every client we agree to see.
But each to their own.

No offense OP, but you sound a little self-righteous. Sorry, but nobody is that special. If you really feel you are that busy then good for you. Last time I checked however, normally people who brag about those kinds of things are in fact quite opposite. In my opinion the assistant thing is just a lie to make it sound like you're busy. But hey if you want to waste your hoe money on something like that then all the power to you.
-
yeah, because nobody in this forum can read what I write.
I'm asking question about experiences of having assistant but I'm having to explain myself why or wouldn't have I need to have one? Don't see where al this thread go wrong?
I write some words in past tenses too but people won't notice it too?
Tbh, my site currently gets 9-11k hits a month because I just had done good seo and have banner ads on some sites, therefore as I said I would like to retreat from 10h admin week as I mentioned before. I have done this, I have checked my thyroid because I thought I have fatigue problems because of faulty thyroid ;D but it wasn't that, it was just too much on my plate. you like this information or want more? ::) ::) So therefore can't keep up with all requests I have and yes, recently I have decided perhaps it's time for assistant because of all these things as I basically do not have social life and yes, I envy people who have onlyfans or so - who I see on twitter makes pictures everyday and I just think - so envy that they have time for doing that, I would love that.
Also if you want more info, it's possible I will have cancer in 5-10 years, so thank you, but I want to live my life a bit before dying and admin is not such a fun part of time to spend your time in this world.
Now can I get some replies of your experiences of having assistant? If not, please do not reply to this topic with your gross opinion of me.
-
I also have no idea why the negative comments? The OP asked simply about others' experiences of getting an assistant.
Whether someone is busy or not and whether they choose to spend their money on an assistant or anything else is nobody else's business. And plenty of others on here are continually telling us how busy they are without anything being said. If you are busy, that's great, we all want to be busy.
Don't we get enough judgement already outside our community?
OP I don't have an opinion about an assistant but I do agree with many others that I think I'd prefer to screen my own clients myself. Perhaps someone to help you with other things like the SEO and social media side of it could take some pressure off?

Most people on this forum can read very well. That’s where I believe the problem lays. Personally, I read through your posts and honestly I didn’t like it much.
Yes, most of the time when you want to get advice that would really help you, it’s a good thing to explain. In your case here: “I, the OP, need an assistant because of my health problems” It sounds completely different to “I, the OP, am a lazy cow and can’t be bothered”.
I think a few of us took your need for assistant as you not being very good with time management. So their replies, while not seen as helpful by you, were still helpful because they concerned time management/optimisation.
We are not here to judge you. Give us relevant info and we will try to help. We don’t care about you increasing your rates. Or about the number of hits you get. Or how booked ahead you are (totally irrelevant in case of ladies who simply do not take advanced bookings).
Also don’t give contradictory info, as far as my reading skills go I read at the end of your first post that “everything is perfect”. Is it? Or is it not?
I understand that you have health problems and fatigue issues. Well in that case your time must be precious. You don’t want to waste it here arguing with us for hours and hours. If I were you, I would PM those ladies here who mentioned having assistants, check if they are local to you. Maybe they can help more? Because there’s no point turning the thread into a nasty argument, Amy will lock it.
Oh and don’t say “can we get back on topic please?” That seriously annoyed the f*** of me. Seriously.

not as much as me when this topic became of me explaining myself.
Can you explain to me why this topic became me explaining myself why would I need assistant? Like if the topic is about bad case of thrush and how to treat it I don't see comments 'but do you really have thrush?", etc.

Because like I said a bit later on, when you give relevant info we can simply offer better advice, if it makes sense.
It’s not about explaining yourself. It’s about providing people with enough info so that they can work with it.
Here: me in a shop « I need a dress and it must be black » The sales assistant will probably offer me all sorts of dresses. It’ll annoy me and waste my time. I will waste hers too.
Me in the same shop « I need a black dress for a funeral ». Clear and simple. Just providing enough information. I’m not explaining myself here. I’m giving relevant info.
You at the beginning of your thread: I’m looking for an assistant. I have health problems and fatigue issues. I would like to hear from those ladies who had experience with assistants if there are any.
No one would annoy you trying to tell you how to manage your time better.
It’s not explaining yourself. It’s providing relevant info.

Since the OP is clearly only interested in the replies that tell her what she wants to hear (and has apparently been appointed moderator somewhere along the line - I must have missed that) there's no point in this continuing on the board - anybody who wants to contribute the aforementioned can do so by PM. Everybody else needs to remember not to be a twat, even in the face of such extreme temptation.
I'll leave it up if for no reason other than to show anybody who might be thinking of moving into receptionist (and from a legal POV, controlling prostitution for gain) work, and was wondering about the sort of people who might be hiring them.
Locked.
