Apologies if this has been asked before but does anyone know of any? If not, does anyone know a way around setting up a bank account?

Probably the best way to receive transfers is with a new service from snapchat, called snapcash.

Quote
Snapchat Now Lets You Send Money To Friends Through Snapcash Deal With Square Cash

While in Snapchat text-chat, you type in ?$? then the dollar amount you want to send. Snapchat recognizes you?re trying to pay, changes the send button to a green Snapcash button, and tapping it deposits money into a friend?s account. That cash will be waiting for them when they sign up if they haven?t already. If the friend doesn?t sign-up to accept the payment within 24 hours, the cash will be refunded so you don?t have to worry about money?disappearing.

The cash is sent to your debit card as if it was a refund. So it ends up in your bank balance.
I prefer to use pre-paid debit cards, there are plenty of services online offering those types of cards, you will lose some money with fees, but you can better protect you identity that way.
Paypal offers this service for example, but they have strict rules regarding adult work, so be careful, because the person sending you the money could report you. Payoneer is another option.

Pockit pre paid card is great I got one last month, it's  99p to top up in a shop and once you've sent a a picture of a utility bill to prove address (by phone to an email address) you can transfer and receive money free. It's 99p to withdraw cash from ATM but I just use it to buy things online. Once you've proved address can top up to 30,000 a year x
