Yeah, I take my own too. It's a real bonus knowing you've got complete control over them in situations like this, but lots of people think because they've paid for pictures the copyright comes included - it doesn't.

I have found my profile and pictures on a new escort directory. They basically copied everything from my Adultwork profile including my 3 main pictures. They don't have an email address but have a contact us form which I used to request they take my profile down but they still haven't done it or replied. I'm really worried Adultwork might find out about it as they are using my 3 main pictures. I've had my profile taken down for the same reason before.  What can I do to make the website take my profile down?

Change your 3 main pics and keep an eye online for other stealing sites, its nothing else you can do.
Even backpage stole my ad word by word and then played the innocent when I emailed and called them out. They removed the ad but other sites didnt.
Im checking my aw phone number/name on google every few days now.

I had this happen most recently about a week ago.

I've had my profile shut down around 4 or 5 times because a troll has stolen my profile photos and even bought my private gallery pics!  >:(

Months ago they made a facebook profile with my pics and told adultwork that I had stolen my photos from this FB profile! I disputed this and sent them evidence which showed that the FB account was only made recently, and therefore they had stolen MY pics from AW.
It was a lot of hassle and AW are generally quite useless  :FF
This most recent case was a troll making money using my PG pics using a popular 'chat flirt and show off' website (not sure if I can name it).
It was quite frustrating but I got in touch with the admin of the aforementioned site and explained to them that this person had stolen my pics. They were quite helpful and shut the fake profile down.
I've also had copycat AW accounts made, which were derogatory and quite quickly shut down after contacting AW and having clients contact them also.

Best thing is to contact the admin of whatever site your photos are on and explain your situation. Send screenshots where applicable and being polite but also a little 'desperate' always helps.

I've experienced all sorts of trolls, Twitter death threats, copycats, here there and everywhere, so have become quite the expert now!

AW have apologised for all the inconvenience and there are now 'notes' on my account which let the AW team know about all the troubles I've had- I think they are on my side now! (Blimey!)

Thanks for the tip but I've realised they've copied nearly all of my photos,  not just the main 3. It's really hard to find new pictures they haven't copied!

Would putting a watermark on the photos stop them copying them?  Can I put adultwork.com as a watermark?

It's not impossible to copy images anywhere on the web.

Watermark doesn't stop them copying but
they become less attractive to photo thieves.
They'd rather steal a 'clean' photo.

The main 3 pics on aw profile counts, not the rest.
I mean if aw finds one of those 3 main pics on other sites will take your profile down. Its somewhere on their rules plus it happened to my ex flat mate.
Better to prevent then to heal :)
Water marks are easy to apply even without a program, everybody has paint, any jpeg pic can be right clicked and  opened in paint, its easy to ad your name on any pic then save it as a jpeg and upload it back on aw :)

Thanks for the advice, just pissed off because I can't find any pictures they didn't copy!

The website that stole my photos and profile is called awantage.com  - sounds like advantage but not advantage. They have probably stolen lots of escorts profiles from Adultwork.

They're registered in Romania.
You could warn them by using contact form and pointing
out they have committed copyright theft and giving them
a few days to remove the content.
(I sometimes say 'My lawyer has advised me to warn you that...')

If they refuse or ignore you could take other measures
like telling them you will notify Google of copyright theft.
Serious calm email. Worth a try. Can't say it always works.
Webmasters can get the hot-shits when Google is involved.

My mate did it and was removed in 24 hours, but the webmaster
was physically traceable in London and English speaking.

AW use their own watermark, and will remove yours if you try putting one on.

I didn't know this. Their watermark hasn't stopped my troll, they just crop it off. I have watermarked mine accross the middle with 'adultwork.com'. It deters people stealing and AdultWork can't really complain as I'm not advertising anythig else. Fingers crossed anyway!
