Content thieves (stolen text and pictures)
« on: 20 February 2015, 07:17:11 pm »
I was bored and decided to Google my self (I know :-\) Any way came across myself on this site I have no recollection of joining it ...tried to login with usual email address and passwords I would use, clicked forgot password still nothing has arrived in any email boxes . The profile that's there has precise sections from my A.W . Profile and pictures that I don't use any more .
Either I've cracked up and lost all recollection of making it or the fairies have done it .....
Has anyone else heard of this .... redlightpremium.com

I've not heard of this site but it's not uncommon for wannabe directories to just steal info from AW/other directories to populate their own pages. It's very annoying if the info is wrong/out of date. The one silver lining is that these sites attract almost no potential punters so you're unlikely to get calls from it, anyway.

Contact them and demand that they take your info down. I do think that AW have a rule that we're not to use our three main photos on any other sites so I would be pretty upset if one of my three main ones were elsewhere on the web.

Hi girls,

Just a warning for all : a dodgy foreign looking review site stole my first main copyrighted aw photo and my number too!!!! The is no contact number just a form so I sent them a rather angry message but not sure if anything can be done - I contacted aw and they don't wanna know, they think it's my responsibility!!!

I am totally livid and can't sleep - you better check for yourself girls they may have stolen yours too.

en-gb.escort-advisor.com and type in your number into the database

Just an update: the site is hosted by godaddy.com and there is no email for them but a 24/7 landline number for London queries. I am not sure if it's safe to ring this at all since it could be recorded and it would be a sensitive conversation.

How weird,

en-gb.escort-advisor.com

If that doesn't work try go on google and type it in from there

Just checked and its full of stolen main gallery aw profile photos and numbers of uk independent escorts!!!!

It may be fully "London related" but I doubt it

You can also find out by typing in your number into Google and if something like escort reviews  come up check the web name above, it's them

This looks like a review site, rather than a directory. Other than them posting our photographs, there's probably relatively little we can object to. To stay on AW's good side, you may need to change your three main profile numbers. I am on there, as well, but the photo is one that I no longer use exclusively on AW so there's relatively little problem for me. I don't really LIKE my photo being used on their site but I am not going to get upset about it as I doubt there is very much that I can do about it.

One potential measure you can take is to change your phone number, although who knows how long it will be for them to catch up to you and then it's a fucking pain in the arse to change phone numbers if you have regulars.

The problem is my number now can be found on Google and I excluded my aw profile from Google for discretion purposes. They can't just go round and steal numbers! They are not even uk based for that matter!

I did inform Aw about this and they said to contact the hosting domain re copyright infringement etc. I seriously don't want my number to be on Google as I am just part time and only on Aw

Are you using the same phone number for work and personal? Even if you're just part time and you don't mind having your phone ring with punters this is the sort of thing that can happen.

If you are unable to get them to take the information down (and I doubt they will listen to you as they depend entirely on phone numbers for their search capability) then I think you have a couple of options. One is to change your personal phone number, which can be a hassle, and then keep current number only for work. Another is to change your work number and tell this site that you have done so, pointing them to your AW profile so that they can update their own site for their own ends. This would probably be an annoying thing to have to do as we resent them doing this in the first place, but I think it is likely to be successful.

I don't want to be in their database Fablassie, they never asked me for permission and surely they aren't allowed to go round and steal photos and numbers without permission? Surely there is a problem with copyright infringement and it shouldn't matter if it's a directory or review site - the site looks like a scam tbh. It operates in Italy? I mean seriously I don't wish to be in their database!

I agree but if they are offshore you may not be able to do anything about it. Even major entertainment companies have a helluva time dealing with illegal download torrent sites.

Hi Rose: Have you thought of contacted Google regarding the copyright theft?
Not sure how helpful they are but it  it was the next step with a
UK based webmaster my mate when he lifted her images.

Funnily, the guy removed them in 24hrs when we
warned him we were going to Google.
(And sent him invoices for daily use of the images.)
But he is in UK and easily traced and punishable by UK law.

Luckily the guy removed them in 24hrs told him we were going to Google.
But he was in UK and punishable by UK law.

Unless Rosa took the photos herself or had the person who did sign the copyright ownership over to her (and this has to be specific - some generic 'release form' doesn't count), she can't take legal action for copyright infringment as this can only be done by the copyright owner, although anybody can report things to Google.

The only saving grace is that a lot of people don't know this and may listen to a threat, as demonstrated above.
